Your Only Hope
Psalm 39:6-13 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Some are in a place today because you made a choice by yourself without Gods guidance. It has brought negative consequences on your life but there is a remedy. We as humans often think we know what's best. That usually gets us into a bad shape. We should fear God as in a second He can bring us into subjection.

Materialistic items will be left behind at death. Your mind, your health and all of your belonging will all be left behind. All of your current endeavors will be in vain at the time of your death. If life is truly vain then what is there to look forward to at death? Put your hope in the Lord! If you're lost this life is as good as it's going to get but, if you're saved then this current life is as bad as it's going to be.

We as humans all have things that mean absolutely nothing at death. We must repent of those material junk items. The Word of God, the bible, was not written about you therefore it's not about you. The bible was written on One and that was Jesus Christ.

God chastises those that are His because He loves them and wants them to do better. God knows exactly how to chastise those that are saved because He knows us inside and out. He knows each and every person and what it'll take to bring one under submission. The saved should at some point know that when God calls one out, stop, listen and obey. The saved should never think that God wouldn't chastise them. God can and will bring you down if you do not repent of the sins in your life. When God chastises it breaks down the pride down to nothing.

Be so heavenly minded so you're no earthly good. We live in a Godless society. Flesh is everywhere! The saved should feel more like a stranger in this life than a welcomed guest.

Stop fighting against God. What you need can be found on your knees thru repentance.

Preached by Tommy Boring on April 29, 2018 (Sunday Morning).
Denying Ones Self
Matthew 16:24-26 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
You must give up yourself completely to God. A choice is made daily whether you will deny yourself and follow God. If you found yourself in the pits of hell you would give anything to not be there. The lost will have at least one opportunity to make a choice whether they will deny themselves and accept Jesus and His salvation. Those that are saved also have a choice whether they will deny themselves over Christ. If we want to be blessed of God then we MUST deny ourselves. The power of the church is leaving because we've let the flesh overtake us. It's a constant battle to overcome the flesh thru Christ. You money and other earthly possessions will ALL burn up in the end. The only thing that will stand is the work that has been done in His name. The flesh wants items in this world just because it's a lustful being. How often do you allow your tongue to ruin your witness or ruin denying yourself? It takes much discipline to walk in Christ's will. Do you find yourself wasting time for yourself during a free time?

Worldly Sand And Spiritual Rocks
Matthew 7:24-27 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We are all building a house, working on a building. Whether you're lost or saved you are building a building. We all show what type of house we are building. They will be tried by God at some point to test the structure. Trouble will soon find you whether your lost or saved. If you've built your house on a firm foundation, your house will stand. The difference between the two buildings is that one is wise and the other a fool. It's not about how smart one is. There will be hundreds of people hear the true Word of God on this day but they will push it away and turn a deaf ear to it. Another difference is the foundation to which one builds their house on. One can't build anything on a weak structure, something that moves. Just because you're doing something good, working in a church, helping others, giving money, doesn't mean that your foundation is firm. When building a structure one doesn't just start building on the grass, you build below the top soil, on top of concrete footers. If you've built your house on the things of this world, you've choose foolishly and it will run out from under you. Don't be confused and labor all your life building on a shifting foundation. When you become saved God places you on top of His firm foundation of a rock. Being saved doesn't mean you may not slide all over that rock, stumble or get bruised up. It just means you will never fall off of the rock. The materials used are different between a lost and saved persons house. Gold, silver and precious stones must be worked for in order to obtain them. Wood, hay and stubble is easily had and is given freely. Satan shows us how easy it is to live in this world. Once we reach for it we realize how easy it was and continue to build a house of the world of objects from satan. Digging and studying in the bible is building your house with pure tried and true material. It requires one to wake up before anyone else just to study. Just because you are saved doesn't mean you can't decide to pick up the trash and junk of this world to build up your house. What you do for God will likely cost you, but in the end, your building will be tried and shown to be true. If you're thinking that you are just thankful for getting into heaven, your selfish and need to make sure your saved.

Almost
(Part of the Revival 2013 series).
Almost means nearly or very close. It is an excuse. God has given us a right mind. God rewards faithfulness. Salvation is not about what you do. Exam yourself to know whether or not you've been saved. You should have an affirmation of your salvation. You should respond to the call. He will finish any work he has started. He is looking for a willing vessel. Confession is good for the soul! You are held accountable for what you know. If you will draw nigh to The Lord, he will draw nigh to you. God is cultivating your heart. He makes his abode on the inside. Do you have a desire to follow The Lord? You aren't doing God any favors. It's not about"I" it's about him. The church is spiraling upward. The Lord gives power and sound mind not fear. Even in your failures and mistakes, you can't fall away from his grace. The law is written on your heart. Forsake all to follow him! If you are right with God you can be right with anyone. You won't continue in sin. Flee from even the appearance of sin. Life and death is right before you and all you have to do is be saved. You aren't alone and he wants to give you all he has to offer. But, you have to let go and run to The Lord. You are begotten by the word. You can't serve God if you are not right with your brother. Love is where it's at. Today is the day to proclaim the gospel. Just let go and sell out! All you have to do is come and dine. Persecution is coming. If you listen to the devil you will walk a mile with him before you realize it. Does what you have, have spiritual value? Do you have a counterfeit? If it didn't cost you something it probably wasn't worth anything. Are you changing? Or are you stagnant? Almost thou persuadest me... You know the truth.
Preached by Jason Blair on June 18, 2013 (Revival).
The Last Chance
Isaiah 55:6-9 (Part of the Communion Services series).
A lot of people claim to be a Christian but are not. Just because you hang around a crowd doesn't mean you're a part of them. You have to love God in order to have a desire for Him. We live in a society in that we judge by how well our lives are by looking at the material things we own. The world has plenty of distractions to keep your focus off of God. You must call on Him while He is near. One can't call on God whenever you're ready. He's not your servant or your co-pilot. He is your Lord and your pilot. There will come a day when God will stop calling for you. You will call for Him and He will not answer. Could God be so that He would place people in hell? Do you live a life of a rebellious nature, going against what God has told you? We worry about things below, things down on this earth that will all be burned up. Our thoughts are about the here and now. God is about eternity. How could God love a sinner? We forgive but we don't forget. When God forgives He casts those thoughts away. We have limits on how many times we forgive others, but God does not. Do you look at others and think that God can't help them? Don't wait until that un-promised next time. Would you give one of your perfectly healthy children to save a complete strangers life?
