The Privilege of Serving
Ephesians 5:21-33 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There is a great example given of love, commitment and trust through a marriage. Women are to submit themselves to their husbands, not for ownership. Just as a woman is to submit themselves to their husbands we all are to submit ourselves to God. The husband is the head of their family just as God is the head of our being. God is the head of the church and as long as we follow Him we will be right. Just as when Adam and Eve sinned and God cursed them, Eve, Women, were cursed to always want to lead over the man. You might find it a hardship to follow Christ. If you do, you need to seek out why. It shouldn't be a burden to follow Him because He loved you first when you didn't even ask for it. If you get close to God, you'll get closer to your spouse. Where would we be without Christ? Do you live your life like it's your own? Husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church. Christ laid His life down for the church. Husbands, if you are living in the world then you are not living an example of Christ for your wife to follow. How is your love life with God? Do you have your mind on someone else? Romans 8:31-35

Gods Will or the Comfort Zone
Genesis 28:10-22 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God loves everyone of His children no matter what. Sometimes one has to leave to do Gods will, leave your comfort zone. There isn't anything that you'll go through that God hasn't been through already. If you're born again, there isn't anywhere you go where God is not already there. At times we may have to take a leap of faith to find Gods will. God is all knowing and He knows what we will do and what we won't do. If you're a child of God, all things will work out for the good. When God takes you on a journey He will always go with you and He will bring you home. One of the reason that we would have to leave our comfort zone is to leave the things that are holding us back.

Everyone Wants To Be Blessed
Psalm 128:1-6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
When we talk about being blessed we want to tie it with works. To be blessed you must fear The Lord. The first key to fear God is to reverence Him. The problem today is that people do not fear God. Fear means to honor, reverence and to love. Faith is also a component of the fear of God. God controls your very being, your breath. He gives life and takes life. God wants to bless us all but if we do not fear Him, He will not bless us.if you want to be blessed, then stop doing what YOU want to do and start following what a God has told you to do. Blessings do not come from money. Psalm 119:35 Reverence God to the point that you tell God to MAKE you do it. If you fear God and do what He has asked, He will provide your food and you will be happy and it will be good for you. If you fear God and do what He said, your wife will be blessed and your children will be blessed as well. The church will also be blessed and bless you as well as your community. God will also bless you through the years through your grandchildren.

Ones Greatest Desire
John 12:27 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Luke 19:42-43 Christ had a passion for His people in Israel. Anything that will cause you to really weep is most likely a passion. There are people all around us that need to be saved. We need to have a passion for those around us. Luke 19:45-46 Christ was passionate about His church. We need the same passion for the church that will stand and die for the church. Usually we have passion for everything else in the world except for the church. If you're gonna do it, do it right. The bible states that you should fail not to assemble yourself. If you have made a covenant to the church (membership) then you should be passionate about keeping it holy in your life. Luke 22:15 We should be passionate about our brothers and sisters in Christ. We should be passionate for the church inside the church. Luke 22:41-44 His passion was for the will of God. Do you believe that God wants you to follow. Him with all of your heart? It's not Gods will that anyone perish. Luke 23:43-46 He had a passion to complete Gods work. We should have a passion to work as hard as we can until the job is done. If you've been called by God, He will use you until He is through with you.  It's not up to you to decide what God has planned for you. If you've been saved then He has called you into the ministry to  spread His Word. Who stole your passion? What happened to you? John 20:20-22 Jesus has a passion to bring peace to those that believe in Him. Jesus was passionate about the Holy Ghost. What are you passionate about?

Why Don't You Pray?
Luke 18:1-8 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Prayer is a simple concept but is rarely used. Prayer is talking to God. One purpose of prayer is to call on God. The second is the possibility of prayer. Hebrews 7:24-25 When you pray, you do not do it alone. Romans 8:26 We know that we have someone that knows what we can't describe and yet we do not talk to Him. Why won't we pray more? Because the flesh will not allow it. The persistence of prayer is important. Do you pray enough? Romans 12:12 We should be praying throughout the entire day. Ephesians 6:18 your physical posture has nothing to do with prayer, however, your humbleness of your heart does. Prayer should have a privacy. Matthew 6:6 Prayer should be between you and Him. Someone else's prayer is their prayer, not yours. The preacher can not say a prayer for you. Is their power in prayer? Mathew 7:7 Have you asked? Mathew 21:22 Not only should you ask, but believe.
