The Measurement of Being Slack (Part 3)
2 Peter 3:8-12 (Part of the 2 Peter 3 series).
God is not slack concerning His promises. Some may think as so based on what they've seen or experienced. God has given all a book full of His promises to which some of those have been fulfilled. If we really believed that God is coming back, would we not get prepared? So is He slack or not? So why hasn't God come back? God is long-suffering. What is long-suffering? Long suffering is the act of loving beyond measure. Just as in Genesis, God declare an end to the people's evilness. God could have built an ark, He could have filled the ark full of animals and He could have ended the earth and started over with nothing but new. The reason God has not returned is because some of you are still lost and He loves you. God is not willing that any person should perish but that all would come to repentance.
Preached by Tommy Boring on January 31, 2016 (Sunday Morning).
