Who is Wise in God?
James 3:13-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We should be careful that it's not about pride. In order to be taught, you must be teachable. You must forget about what people have said and get back to the Word of God. The Word of God is what will judge and teach, not what our forefathers set forth or said. A lot of people excuse themselves by not opening the bible. We should study to prove ourselves. If you asked someone a legitimate question they will try to give you an honest answer. Sometimes it's days if not weeks before we will pick up our bibles. Just because you read it doesn't mean that you've studied it. The bible isn't a dead word so it never gets old, it's a living word. One can't retire from God. It thrills God to get you smart in the Word. Sunday school is a must because we study the scripture. You need Jesus Christ as a tutor in your life daily. You can identify a wise man by his words. Conversation of God will make you a wise person. Just like their conversation, their works should back it up. If you can't walk it, don't talk it. If your works don't match your words then your neighbor will see a hypocrite. Where is righteousness found? The bible. Good conversation and good works will usually bring forth pride. Pride comes before a fall. Your good words from God and your good works from God will bring forth wisdom as long as you keep it in your heart and not your mind. A wise person is full of love and what is love? Jesus. If you're holding envy and strife in your heart then you are of the world and not of God. A Godly wisdom is pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be persuaded by Gods Word, full of mercy and good works, without suspicion and is without hypocrisy. James 1:5 If you want wisdom, ask God for it without doubt and it will be given.

Reaping When We Faint Not
2 Corinthians 4:1-5 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The devil wants us to stay busy with worldly things. If you have a job, you are away most of your time away from the most precious gifts that God has given. The news of today contains wars and battles against each other, mostly religious wars. Not only do we see the news, but also find ourselves fighting with ourselves, laziness. We were all promised victory through Jesus Christ. The devil will use all kinds of things to try to bring you down and get your mind off of God. The devil will use the smallest things like a cell phone to divert your path and thoughts. VBS is something that one can't go into without prayer. We can not be pushed down by the devil. Galatians 6:9 In 2012, 48% are protestants, 53% in 2007 and in 1970, 66%. The rest claimed no religious affiliation. In 2012 we had no christian presidential background and no supreme court judge. There will be a great falling away. So what are Christians to do? Are you going to just take getting beat up by the devil. Do you have friends that don't care about church or religion at all? How much is a soul worth? If you're saved, are you glad that someone told you about God? Knowledge is just facts, wisdom is taking the facts and using them. There should be a concern towards the lost and backslid. Don't let the ones that don't participate to hold you back in working for God. Jesus paved the path through His life on earth. Christ was tempted just as much if not more than we are. Jesus was mocked while He was on the cross but He was able to see past the cross to see the will of His father. There are multiple ways to reach the lost and backslid but there is ONLY one way to Christ. We are to live our testimony in front of others at all times. Protect it because it's very, very special. Are you a pessimist or an optimist? It's very easy for us a Christians to become a pessimist because of the ugliness that the devil will show you. Is your pew half empty or half full? Once you're saved you can't just sit down and rest. Back before Jesus the sacrifices of the animals only covered the sins. When Jesus gave His life, He washed the sins away.

Your Sin Is Not Just Your Sin
Joshua 7:10-13 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The price or penalty of sin affects many. If sin only affected the one that sinned, then it would be a different situation. We should know what's right and wrong but there is also that lives inside of a saved person that is a moral compass. If you willing sin, you offend the Holy Spirit and judgement will be required. It's never ok to sin no matter who says it's fine. When one feels the temptation of sin we should walk away from it. One can always claim an excuse of a sin but in the end, you know it's a sin. If you are saved and you do sin, God will chastise you if forgiveness is not asked. If you are confused about whether it's right or wrong, you need to seek Gods face. Romans 6:23 plainly states what sin will get you. Sin is a temporary happiness that will quickly turn to death. The warning to us all is that sin is not joy to God. God will not turn His back while you choose to sin. Sin has and will always be a choice to us all. Your sin could affect the church, the family and even your life. When you stand before God, you will no excuse, blame or any reason to why you chose to sin. There is no other price for sin but death. You can always hide your sin from others around you but God will always know. If you have sin and bring it to the church, it can hinder and quench the Spirit from working with others. Have you ever left a church service wondering what happened to the Spirit? Did you ever ask yourself, was I the reason the Spirit left? More than likely it was someone else camping out with their sin and trying to hide it from God. God knows and will not work when sin is abound. What good is something that you must hide?

Truth, Difference and Need
Jude 1:3-4 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We live in a terrible time where wicked is all around us. The worst thing that could happen is that the Christians site back and do nothing. Men and women do not need God because they do not see it in others. If you've been born again then you've been given a job to share Christ with those around you. Psalm 11:23 The world has hammered at the foundation of God trying to destroy it since the beginning of time. People do not like the gospel of Christ because it denies them the ability to do what they want. If you think that what is going on in other countries where Christians are being slaughtered because they are Christians will never happen here, you're badly mistaken. How do we build the foundation back? We are to "fight" for Christ. This does not mean to physically fight but to spiritually fight by knowing you're of Christ and you LIVE for Him every second of the day. You must stand for Christ. The unsaved will hate you, make fun of you and will try to kill you. Genesis 1:1 Tells us that the world was made by God, the world tells us otherwise. If we allow schools to teach our children that the earth is billions of years old and was made by a Big Bang, in other words there is not God, then we've stated that the rest of the Bible is a lie. We also battle against sin, sin where there is no accountability. Sexual sins, fornication, adultery, homosexuality are all sins. Gossiping, lies, backbiting are also all sins. Our government have an agenda to rid God from our schools. Take a look at a child's text books and you'll see this. God has already declared the truth and no matter what someone wants to say as the opposite, Gods truth still stands. 2 Timothy We have to know the Word. Study because there are always tests and quizzes. 2 Timothy 1:4 You must know the difference between true and false. 2 Timothy 2:25 Know the need. The need is that there is a lost world that needs Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:2 Evil will continue to get worse BUT Christ will always win.

No Jesus, No Peace. Know Jesus, Know Peace
Romans 5:1-5 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Often when we speak of salvation we think of earthly peace. But the truth of salvation is being saved means that we have peace with salvation. Having the peace of God is not having peace on this earth, it's about an eternal and spiritual peace. Having spiritual peace can't be removed. Romans 16:31 When we don't have worldly peace, we being saved have eternal peace. The life of a good faithful Christian is a hard road and life to live. There may come a time in your life when turmoil will come and all you've got left is to call out to God. God is the only peace that will never leave. When we have Jesus as our savior, we have a fellowship and a friendship. He doesn't see your unworthiness when He looks at your salvation. He sees His son and the blood that covers your sin. Once we've been saved, your always saved because we didn't save ourselves, God did.
