What Do You Do With Christ?
Matthew 11:20-24 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Are you affected by Christ, the Word of God? Do you actively ask folks if they've been saved? Our world that we live in today is just as sinful as it was in Sodom's time. Sin is sin no matter the type whether it be murder, homosexuality or a lie. Conflict is a problem that causes us to see for a remedy or a solution. Make sure you're living your serving God and doing His will. We don't have to be a rich person, works do not help and who you're related to in order to be saved. Never forget who saved you. Never forget where you were pulled from and saved from. We know that the world is quickly falling away from Christ but don't be discouraged. We also know that this has to happen prior to the second coming of Christ. It also means that we as Christians should not stop working for Christ. We should not look at others and feel as if they get away with everything. God will judge them just the same as you. If you think that you are only hurting yourself or its my life, you're wrong. Your body is a temple and God lives inside the temple therefore you're destroying God Himself. Jesus did die for everyone but not for all, only the ones that would accept Him as their personal savior. America today has so many idols that they quickly become bored. Children quickly become bored when they obviously have many, many things to do. Do you feel like you can't share your salvation? That lost person that you hate is so loved by Christ. The least you could do for that person is to share Jesus Christ with them. Jesus is a conflict and always has been.

Where Are You? (Part 2)
1 Kings 19:9-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We should ask ourselves often, where are we spiritually. Are you in a place where God can use you? Are you making progress with God? Don't compare yourself with another like a pastor, friend or neighbor. God is a jealous God and He will have no other gods before Him. When you get to the place where you isolate yourself from the world, the devil will step in and begin telling you that it doesn't matter. There are some awesome things that happen in this life but God isn't in them. When God tells you to do something it's either Go or Stay. When it gets hard in your life, don't run and don't give up, just call of God.
Preached by Tommy Boring on October 18, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
Faith Stealers (Part 2)
Hebrews 12:1 (Part of the Faith series).
The men of old were those that had nothing but faith to hold to because Jesus had not come yet. We have a helper and our faith is stronger because we have the promise because we know Christ came. If we just believe then all things are possible and we need to be faithful when we serve Him. We are to take inventory of the things that cause us to fall and weighs us down. Remove those things from our lives that causes our faith to fail. Our affections should not be to the things of this earth. The lust of the eyes and flesh is what weighs our faith down. There used to be a time when Wednesday night church service came, people stopped what they were doing and went to the church house. There isn't anything worth having if it stands between you and God. Getting rid of the chip on your shoulder towards someone is a great way to grow your faith. Their is a greater expectation on us that has lived after Christ was born because we have the Holy Ghost living in us. So not only are we to lay the lust aside, but we are to lay the sin away. Sin is an internal and also an external event. Internal sin is the lust, external sins are those that we should simply but a stop to doing. We have a book written for us that points out those sins, hinderances that those long ago didn't have. We allow all the hinderances to keep us from doing what Moses, Daniel, David, Abraham, all did. If we lay aside the weight and the sin then we can run the race for Christ. The enemy is constantly trying to slip a weight on us when we are trying to run with Christ. But not only are we to run the race, we must run it with patience, not as a sprint but as a marathon. Sprinting is simple a run with no obstacles in your way. Marathons contains obstacles and different types of runs up and down hill. The spirit of God can do anything thru you but what hinders it is the weight of the world and the sin in your life.

Lions, Tigers, and Bears. Oh My!
1 Samuel 17:18-37 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Relate your past troubles to a lion or a bear, something that is dangerous that can bring mortal fear. If your hope and trust is in God, we shouldn't have the fear of those things. Our enemy the devil walks around like a lion just waiting to pounce on a weak one. Courage is a by product of faith. The world teaches that we can not stand against the enemy. We need more confidence in God so instead of running away from the enemy, we stand against him. How much is joy worth? People spend millions of dollars seeking for joy. So you've had "bear" attacks, but you're still here. We've been through really rough battles, but we're all still here. So what does the future hold? More lions and bears. If God is for you, who could be against you? We've been made MORE than conquers. The devil is out to steal what God has given you. Don't let him steal your joy. So we know that trouble is coming, so what do we do? We need to prepare to fight! Ephesians 6:11-20 Stand, having the entire armor of God on!
Preached by Tommy Boring on December 31, 2014 (Wednesday).
Give The Devil A Black Eye
2 Corinthians 2:8-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
If you want to stand for God be prepared for the enemy to attack. If you are saved, nothing can take that away from you. Keep your head up because you've got someone on your side that controls everything around you. The devil will raise up strife against you and others. Christians shouldn't be ignorant of what satan can do because God has told us to put on His FULL armor. If you have troubles with something and you don't know what to do about it, read your bible and ask God. There are three things that John examined that the devil uses against us. The list of our flesh is one of the things that satan uses against us. Satan is looking for the weak spot of your fleshly nature. The second thing that satan uses is the lust of the eyes. The third thing is the pride of life. The devil is not all knowing and he also can't be everywhere. He does however have many demons that he commands. The devil used those same three things against Jesus. The lust of the flesh was Jesus' hunger. Satan is nothing but a liar and if you are saved, he can not touch you. Satan causes worry, it is a component of fear produced by doubt.
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 8, 2013 (Sunday Morning).
