Yet, There Is Room
Luke 14:15-24 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There's an importance for us as Christians to be doing our part. Churches all across the world are inviting the lost in to be saved. But just as in biblical times, people are known to give excuses why they don't want to come. Salvation can't be obtained by your wanting, it's by invitation only. Do you feel separated from God? Do you feel as if you've been left out? God loves you and there is room at His table for you. Many feel as if it'll embarrass someone or themselves if they come to the house of God. Thinking about the story of Noah. God didn't give Noah the dimensions for the Ark to save the world because He knew that they wouldn't come. Clearly there was plenty of room for hundreds of people but only 8 were saved. Noah did his part warning the people and inviting them to be saved from the flood. Noah didn't shut the door of the ark, God did. The woman with an issue of blood knew that all she had to do was to just touch Him she'd be healed. There were hundreds of people there that day and many people were touching him. But Jesus knew right away when she touched Him. No matter what, press towards Him. There once was a man and his friends that needed healing but the crowd was too large. His friends knew what was needed and they climbed the building and tore off the roof to lower their friend down to Jesus. Jesus healed him and he walked out of the building. There is room for you. John the revelator seen things that he wrote about in revelation. He seen a number that no man could number when he looked into Heaven. The last thing he wrote about was that the spirit says, come. Even though in Heaven there is a number at that time that no man could number, God says there is still room for you. Just for you! Right before Jesus came into the world they were looking for a place for Him to be born. They struggled a place for Him. There was no room. The contrast is that He has a place just for you prepared. All you have to do is to accept His invitation. Once His table is full then there will be no more invitations sent.

Knock, Knock
Revelation 3:20 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Those that have been called of God to preach have an obligation to do His work. It's the responsibility and the authority to preach the Word that is NOT watered down. The preacher can not save a person. The church can not save a person. The Word of God should does not go out in void. Not everyone that attends church is going to Heaven. The enemy is always amongst us all and he does whatever he can to distract you from getting close to God. Titus 2:11, Christ goes out to people, it doesn't work the other way around. A false preaching today is that one can simply call on God whenever the time is right. God does not work on your time but His own. There's not a single person that sits and waits everyday for someone to knock. When God comes to your house He will knock because your house is locked. Some people hide when someone comes knocking unexpectedly because they don't want what's being offered. Just as God comes knocking, He will visit unexpectedly and He waits. He doesn't knock and leave or run away. He knocks and patiently waits. Little children when they get saved their doors are usually not as shut, locked and barricaded because they've not been exposed to Satan's lies and deceit. 2 Peter 3:9, God doesn't want anyone to parish. God doesn't force Himself into your house. He will knock, call your name, patiently wait and do anything spiritually possible to get you to invite Him in. Just as anyone visits someone, they will wait for awhile patiently. One doesn't know how long they will wait or if they will ever come back. God does the same thing. He's standing, waiting but He will not stay there forever. Only YOU can open your door. No one else can open your door but you. One will not open the door until they accept the fact that they want Him to come in. When God is invited in He comes in and cleans house. He brings His own things and removes the old stuff. When the king moves in He will bring love, joy, peace, and all of His other furniture. He'll take all of your old dirty stuff and cast it away never to be used again.

A Dead Dog From Lodebar
2 Samuel 4:4 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Man is lame without God. We are not able to do anything without God. We can't pull ourselves out of the sinful pit. Some people see God as a judgmental being. Just as the nurse in this scripture, we had someone that "nursed" us unto salvation. These nurses only care for the soul and nothing more and prayed for the salvation of it. Back in this time, a lame person couldn't work and had to fully depend on others for their care. Just in this time we have folks that are lame and are in need of care. We are quick to judge those that have fallen into tough times. A lot of people think the church is for the saints but it's actually a place of refuge. The last thing a person should think is that they'd be judged by those "church folks". As long a person is in the flesh there will always be a handicap. When people think of you a church goer, do they think they could be loved at your church? Did you know it's better to not make a vow than to make one and not keep it? Just as in this time, the king inquired of a person that he cared about, this still happens today. God the king of all things inquires of the dead dogs, sinners, of this world and invites them in. As Mephibosheth had nothing to offer the king but he bowed before the king. He responded properly to the king, have you? Mephibosheth had nothing at all but when he went before the king, the king gave him everything. When you respond to the calling of God the King, He will give you everything that's His. God loved us first. He wants to give you something that you can't even wrap your mind around. He is preparing a place just for you to live for eternity. All you have to do is accept His calling. Mephibosheth was lame but was feed by the goodness of the kings table continuously. We are just the same once we've been saved. Mephibosheth asked the king why he cared anything for him. Jesus loves us just as the king but can offer so much more.

Be Ready, Lost Opportunity and I Know
Matthew 25:10-12 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Be ready for Christ's coming! The first thing that God will look for is His sons blood and if it's been applied to your soul. It's a free gift from God and all one has to do is ask for it. God offers and will offer to each and every person. All one has to do is accept His offering. He offers because He loves us so much and wants us to be with Him in Heaven. There is but only two options, Heaven or Hell which is saved or lost.

Do you twist Gods word around to fit your lifestyle? Put God first before anything else. There is nothing wrong with worldly possessions as long as God comes before them. God will always provide our needs however, He didn't say He would provide our wants.

Do you know Him? Noah knew what God told him and for what reason. God has told you that you've got one opportunity to accept Him as your savior. You know this just as Noah knew as well as those people that the door was shut on. You've heard warnings after warnings to get ready, be prepared.

Long Suffering But Not Ever Suffering
2 Peter 3:3-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God only promised one opportunity to be saved, only one time will He invite you. We should be thankful for the chastening that God does to us. The chastening indicates that He loves us and wants what's best for us in His image. God shows us patience over and over and yet He doesn't have to. There are times we as Christians choose to go against what God has told us to do. During those times of disobedience God is longsuffering to us. At times we seem to think that if we can't see Him then we won't get caught, just the same as a child acts away from their parents. But God is all knowing and can see everywhere and everything. During those times of disobedience there will come a time where Gods longsuffering will come to an end and He will draw a line in the sand. He will show up when you're least expecting Him and place a stopping point. If you choose to step over the line that He has drawn then you've forced Him to remove the problem. Just as a disobedient child and a loving parent. The child will be warned to obey but there will come a time when the child disobeys to the point that the parent must intervene and remove the child's pleasures. If you're a child of a God and are living in disobedience, it's no surprise when He deals with you. God is raising children and He is trying to grow us into His likeness. If you're walking thru your Christian life and you know God is chastening you, count it a blessing because you're one of His. Gods patiences does and will run out. Don't push Him till His patiences runs out on you.
