Being Planted
Psalm 92:12-15 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Verse thirteens importance is that there is nothing in this world that's more important than attendance in a church. Their attendance is important because Gods word when spoken will not go out in void. We shouldn't fail not to assemble ourselves together. Invest your life into the church of Jesus Christ. The purpose in planting something is to have it to flutist and grow. In order for a plant to grow it needs to be feed by light and water. Christ is the light of the world and He is the only one that can provide the living water. The things of the world will only last till death. Verse twelve talks about the palm tree. Palm trees love the heat and flourish. Their roots are not that long and they live in sand but they endure the high winds of a hurricane. Cedars in Lebanon were prized for their wood but the cedars around here never really root. They are strong and have been used repeatedly for years. Verse fourteen talks about bearing fruit at older ages. You're as only as old as you feel but the righteous of God will continue to bear fruit. You'll never retire at doing Gods work. Verse fifteen it all goes back to God. God is worthy to brag about. All these things are done to show that God is upright.

A Dead Dog From Lodebar
2 Samuel 4:4 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Man is lame without God. We are not able to do anything without God. We can't pull ourselves out of the sinful pit. Some people see God as a judgmental being. Just as the nurse in this scripture, we had someone that "nursed" us unto salvation. These nurses only care for the soul and nothing more and prayed for the salvation of it. Back in this time, a lame person couldn't work and had to fully depend on others for their care. Just in this time we have folks that are lame and are in need of care. We are quick to judge those that have fallen into tough times. A lot of people think the church is for the saints but it's actually a place of refuge. The last thing a person should think is that they'd be judged by those "church folks". As long a person is in the flesh there will always be a handicap. When people think of you a church goer, do they think they could be loved at your church? Did you know it's better to not make a vow than to make one and not keep it? Just as in this time, the king inquired of a person that he cared about, this still happens today. God the king of all things inquires of the dead dogs, sinners, of this world and invites them in. As Mephibosheth had nothing to offer the king but he bowed before the king. He responded properly to the king, have you? Mephibosheth had nothing at all but when he went before the king, the king gave him everything. When you respond to the calling of God the King, He will give you everything that's His. God loved us first. He wants to give you something that you can't even wrap your mind around. He is preparing a place just for you to live for eternity. All you have to do is accept His calling. Mephibosheth was lame but was feed by the goodness of the kings table continuously. We are just the same once we've been saved. Mephibosheth asked the king why he cared anything for him. Jesus loves us just as the king but can offer so much more.

Privileged Beyond... (Part 3)
1 John 3:1-2 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We have been made His children. To understand that we must go back to know where we've come from. Have you ever thought about the love of God that would cause Him to love us? What does it mean to live without God? Think about how it would be to grow up with no parent that loved you. What if you were a child of an earthly king? Think about an orphan child and how they want to be loved. They do not want toys or other earthly wants. They simply want parents that love them like their own. Gal 4:4-5 Only thru the blood of Jesus Christ is how one can be adopted by God. A Jew lives for their birthright tying to make sure they can be traced back to Abraham. Your linage will not get you to heaven or make you any closer to God. Many orphans of this world can't wait to be out on their own but, they always have it in the back of their mind that they were never loved. Romans 8:14-15 The adoption paperwork once signed is sealed and can never be changed. Gal 4:7; Rom 8:17 Not only do we have the Spirit to prove to us but we are heirs. Have you even considered where you were when He came to you and asked you to become His child? What could be the reason that God would adopt us? What's your purpose? Why are you here? Phil 2:13-15 The purpose is that we are to bare much fruit for Christ. We are to shine in this dark time that we live in. We've been called out from amongst the darkness and into the light.

The Kinsman Redeemer
Ruth 2:1 (Part of the Ruth 2 series).
Three requirements. Financial, relation, and willing. The relation (family name) must go on therefore they must be of a relative of the same family, linked. Jesus is of our family and He is closer than a brother. One can't take on more family members without being able to take care of them financially. Jesus is also financially capable. There was a price that was required for your soul to save it from hell. The price was blood and it had to be perfect. The search went out for the perfect blood and none was found but Jesus Christ. The bible also states the God owns the cattle of a thousand hills. He is the creator and the provider of all things. The third and final requirement of a kinsman is to be willing. One thing we are sure of is the willingness of Jesus. He was willing to be sacrificed for the sinners soul. He is willing to help in the time of need. He is always willing! To simply put it to each person, you can not make it without Jesus. You might get a taste of moving forward but without Jesus you'll die lost and live for eternity in hell. Jesus is always there with His arms open wide asking you to simply come to Him.

Are You Really a Child of God? (Part 2)
Galatians 4:7 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There's a big difference between thinking and knowing. When you don't know for sure, there is a constant doubt and fear. If you are a child of God, you are no longer a servant but a son. A servant doesn't have an inheritance. We are the children of God and we will receive an inheritance. There are a lot of folks that will say and work all the time that they are saved. There is only one way to be born again and that's through Jesus Christ. Those in Christ have been promised a joy that no one can imagine. We did not deserve it. There are many that do not want the title, child of the King. Some want it but do not want to walk it. Roman 8:16 The Spirit will bear witness with yours if you have been saved. If you've been saved, live like it with your head held high knowing the promises that God has given to us. Does the Spirit bear witness with yours? Those that think they are saved and those that are impostors will not get Gods inheritance. If your saved then you are an heir to God but not only that but, a joint heir to Jesus Christ. So what do we that are saved get as an inheritance? 1 Peter 1:3-5 A lively hope. Since Jesus came, died, and was resurrected, that makes our hope alive and not dead. The inheritance can not be corrupted and it can't be defiled. It will never fade away, it will last forever. It is reserved, just for you, waiting on you in heaven. Ephesians 1:14, we are just waiting, sealed for God until the day of redemption. Rev 21:4 What we find important here on earth is what we will walk on in heaven. Fine jewels and pearls are used to build things that we destroy with no thought on earth daily. So are you really an heir?
