The Priest
Hebrews 13:10 (Part of the Tabernacle, Covenant and a Priest series).
Some will say that the Old Testament has no place in today's world however, it teaches us what was to come from within the New Testaments. A tabernacle, covenant and a priest was needed in the Old Testament for the Jews. Exodus 25:8 was the start of the tabernacle. Heb 9:1-5 Heb 9:6-8 explains that this way was temporary meaning Christ would come to change it and make a better way. Having a sacrifice for a sin was a horrible thing. Perfect, innocent sheep and other animals having their necks sliced and their blood drawn for the sins of the Jews. Christ would soon come as a sacrifice one time and forever more. Tabernacle Layout

The Priest Lev 16:2-4 The only one that could come into the Holy of Holies was one appointed person which was the High Priest. The high priest, Aaron was to use the sacrifice first and offer it up because he himself was not perfect. Then he had to go out and back and use the two goats, a scapegoat and an offering goat and sacrifice one of the goats. The blood was then offered up for the people's sins. The priest had to be clean, not only from sin but his flesh also. We have lost over time the word of God because of the easiness of grace. The Jew knew that they had to prepare themselves for God, we usually do not. Heb 5:1-3 The priest was chosen from among men. Christ was taken among men (born as a human). Heb 5:4-10 Jesus was born as a man to suffer as a man but remained sinless. Heb 4:14-16 Jesus Christ is our now high priest, forever more. Underneath the grace was a way paved in blood all the while saying there is but only ONE way to God.

Headed Back to the Pig Pen
Matthew 12:22-35 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
What is the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost? Any and all sins can and will be forgiven by God if but only asked for the forgiveness. There's no big or little sin. Christ died for those that we claim is our enemies. So what is the sin that separates you from Jesus Christ? It's the one that you've never asked forgiveness for. How many religions are there in the world today? The religion doesn't matter because there is only two types of people, the lost and the saved. Your either with God or against him. We see churches pop up and then fall. We see Christians grow and do great things and then fall. In both cases the fall is due to a simple sin that was never forgiven or taken care of. How can a Christian serve a god that sends people to hell? The fact is, the question is wrong, God doesn't send them to hell, the person made a choice that hell is where they wanted to be by denying God. Isaiah 59:1-2 Sins are a separators between you and Jesus. Praying and asking God for forgiveness and then turning around and picking them right back up is choosing to live in it. We ALL need to make a choice. First, you had to make a choice whether you'll have God as your Lord and Savior. The next choice is to follow Christ and to serve Him completely.

Components of Prayer
Daniel 6:10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
  1. We must pray in the Holy Ghost.
  2. We must commit to prayer. One must make a commitment to God before they can commit to praying to Him. Real prayer takes a commitment, a sacrifice from something else in order to keep the commitment. We as a fleshly person do not want to have or make another commitment. Have you committed to God a time and a place? Does prayer work? How many of you commit to prayer? Most don't commit meaning they are hypocrites because they believe in the power of prayer but unwilling to pray.
  3. We must find a place to pray. One can't pray with things happening around you, distractions. You must have a oneness with God. One can't read a book and pray too. One can't watch or have the tv on and pray at the same time. The flesh is weak and is easily distracted.
  4. The attitude of prayer needs to be humbling. Pride is the number one problem. Pride will tell you that you just prayed yesterday. We must also live righteously. One can't live like the devil today and tomorrow pray like nothing ever happened yesterday. If one has acknowledged sin in their heart then God will not hear them when they pray.
  5. Daniel committed to prayer three times a day because he had read that David committed to prayer morning, noon and night. The quantity is not what's important now, it's the quality. Effectual prayer is what's needed.

Always In Love
Jude 1:17-25 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We live in a time where people call wrong right and the right wrong. God is always in control no matter how hard or easy life is. If you don't the Spirit of Christ then you are lost in darkness. If one lives in a life thinking that it's us against them, then one has missed the mark. A Christian adversary is not against a person or a political agenda, it's a spiritual battle against Satan and his demons. Jesus Christ came to earth to give His body as a sacrifice for ALL sinners. One only has to believe in Him in order to be saved. We as Christians are not in the business of saving the lost. There will be some that will not be saved only by their choice. It's not Gods will that they die lost. The very thing that allowed one to be saved is a Holy Faith. Without faith it's impossible to serve God. No matter what we have to go through down here on earth, Gods love and our Holy faith will bring us through anything. When the time comes when it gets hard we should pray in the Holy Ghost. We should keep ourselves in the love of God. We can't keep ourselves saved, God does that part but we are to keep ourselves as clean as possible. We are to strive to stay with God and not waver, stay in love with God. When one falls in love with someone they surrender to the other and do whatever it takes to stay with them. Some are weak spiritually and we are to help those, love them, have compassion on them. We should know the difference between weak and willful. We should help the weak through compassion to get them stronger in the Lord. None of us are exempt of being weak. Some must hear that God controls their life and if they don't live for God, He will take full control. Jude 1:24, if you've ever wondered if salvation is eternal or can ever be wavering.

A Hit or Miss Prayer Life
Jude 1:17-25 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
As long as we are here on earth there will always be a need in prayer. We will focus on Jude 1:20. Prayer should be a committed thing in our lives. If prayer is the communication between us and God then it must be important. In order to pray in the Holy Spirit we must be clean before Him. We need prayers that changes things and the only way that can happen is praying in the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:26 How many find it hard to pray? How can one pray for something when one doesn't know what the will of God is? A lot of times church folks speak little prayers because their faith is weak. Commitment is the first step in having a true prayer life. If one regards iniquity in their hearts, God will not hear them. One must be right with God in order to commune with Him effectually. Sometimes we pray because we are selfish or prideful. Romans 8:27
