Dwelling In the Tabernacle
2 Corinthians 5:1-6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit if you've been saved. There is but only one purpose for this body for Christ. It is for Him to dwell to reach others thru the saved. Back in biblical times people had to travel from afar just to worship at the tabernacle. When God dwells in the tabernacle of our soul then don't have to travel at all. What would it be like if you had to get to the church in order to talk to God. What would happen if the doors were locked? Being with others that are worshiping Christ is as close to Heaven as we can get without death. The older one gets the more evident it is that you grow with Christ and the soul groans to be in His presence.
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 11, 2016 (Sunday Evening).
The Work of the Minister (Part 5)
2 Peter 1:12-15 (Part of the 2 Peter 1 series).
Ministers should be diligent. Seeking after not after their own agendas but after God's. We all should not neglect concerning the Word of God. The Word of God is not anything new. The job of the pastor is not to create something new about God. The pastors job is to teach and to remind us of the same Word that we already know. Of course there maybe someone that are hearing the Word for the first time whether taught this way or brought this way. It's not the pastors job to entertain to keep your attention. God makes the same story new or refreshing to each of our souls. Our church is in agreement that the bible we use is the King James Version. If you want to stay in order and not be confused, our pastor will be preaching from that version. There are many times that we don't pick up the bible to study so there must be times that we must be stirred up. There is not a single person that knows when they will die. Therefore the message is urgent to remind everyone that you WILL die and you MUST be prepared to die. Settle your salvation. The heart of a real pastor is to empty himself of every Word that God would give him. So what could we be reminded of? Phil 2:8-11 Jesus is Christ the son of God. 1 Tim 1:15, Romans 5:8 Jesus came to save the lost. Romans 10:9, John 3:16 Those that believe in Him shall be saved. Titus 3:8 Those that are saved should live that way. 1 Thes 4:16-18 God is coming back.

Are You Spiritually Impaired? (Part 4)
2 Peter 1:9-11 (Part of the 2 Peter 1 series).
If you want to know what God's will is for you, you just read it. We should let our light shine. If you're lost, you can let God's light shine thru you. The world is blind to to the will of God. There are Christians that feed upon the world but they will become blind to the spirit. The more you apply the Christian graces the more able you'll be able to see the will of God. When you're close to God you'll be shown what the enemy has in store because God knows what's it's up to. Most backslid Christian can't see that they have been forgiven of their past sins. Once you forget what God has done for you you'll begin to backslide and fall away from God. If you can't see Spiritually and you can't remember the day that you were saved, you need to study if you've ever been saved. Some work so hard at doing things trying to get into heaven by their works but their works will never get them in to heaven. They are basically working their way to hell. If you're salvation is based upon somebody telling you that you've been saved, you need to question your salvation. No one but you and God knows if you've been born again. If you're in a race, you're in it to try to win it. You don't have to be born again to help the homeless, feed the hungry, adopt the orphans, but you must be born again to have the graves of God. 1 Cor 3:15 He was able to get to heaven but he suffered the entire way. 1 Cor 3:14 If you live in the graces you will walk into heaven through a great entrance or welcoming.

A Better Day Cometh
(Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Suffering is just for a little while for Christians, while we are here on earth. This too shall pass. When the going gets tough, stand still. Has God ever failed you? There is a day coming that all sin and suffering will end. Our greatest enemy is not satan or the devil, it's ourselves, the flesh. No one has to be taught how to be greedy, lie, kill or hate. We may pass through a valley down here but there is always a mountain top to come. Don't strive to go home because it hard. God is faithful. We may all suffer a horrible death, suffering before we leave this world. But once death occurs our promise as Christians is an eternity of no suffering. Don't focus on the problem at hand, focus on the result that God will give.
Preached by Tommy Boring on February 19, 2014 (Wednesday).
This Big Light Of Mine
1 John 1:5 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God is light and He will always be the light. There is no substitute of God light. When God comes on the scene, darkness has to flee. The Light of God can not be extinguished. Once you are saved, the light of God lives inside, therefore running the darkness out forever. We might foul up in the flesh but our soul is forever His if we are saved. If you have been saved then live for Christ so that His light can shine through you.
Preached by Tommy Boring on February 13, 2013 (Wednesday).
