Will You Be Made Whole?
John 5:1-9 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
When you look around you'll see people that are sick and troubled with the worlds problems but they don't have to be that way. There is no happiness in this world without God. There is victory in Christ because in the end He is the winner. Phil 2:9-11 It doesn't matter who you are we will all be equal in front of God in the end. In the end, the world will be destroyed, burnt up with high heat. Why would you want to go after the worldly things? You must obey in order to be blessed.
Preached by Matthew Adams on October 25, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
What Does It Mean?
Luke 18:35-43 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There is something always going on around you spiritually. When the Spirit of God moves He wants to change and save the lost. How many have sat through service after service wondering what the moving means. In biblical times, when the water was troubled it meant someone would be healed. But what does it mean today? Worship is not a spectator sport. There is nothing you can do to make God stop loving you. Have you not heard that Jesus is your savior? It's not an accident that you're hearing this or are here today. When God is finished saving, He will call this world to an end. Until then, God is still saving and you've not gone too far. Are not certain what you need from God? You might not be able to see with your eyes what you need but listen to your heart. Distractions are from the devil because they take the focus away from God. We have no problem sitting thru a two hour movie without moving but we can't sit thru a church service. There is often times were we are also the distraction. Some of you have been called over and over and you know that God has called you. You can't be changed, saved or healed without God calling you first. The people around you can not heal you or save you. God is still drawing. So what do you have to do? Just go to Jesus.
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 27, 2015 (Sunday Morning).
Why Don't You Pray?
Matthew 6:5-13 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Christ had all power but He prayed to God so God could get the glory. Prayer is a privilege. Why is their an importance in prayer? Salvation is the first prayer that heard of God. Prayer is between you and God and not between the people around you. Strength, comfort, healing if you need it, ask. One can't have a relationship with someone if they never talk to each other. There are many that are Christians but have fallen asleep and are not praying. When it comes to altar prayer only a hand full go to the altar. The remaining in the pews find a distraction and create a distraction. If one doesn't pray they shouldn't ask why their life is such a mess. The one that spoke the world into existence wants to talk and commune with us. Us as adults have to show an example to teach the children to pray. What are you leaving for our children? What's your relationship with God? The only way to have a relationship with someone is to be close to them.
Preached by Bruce Whitehead on June 17, 2015 (Wednesday).
Believing Regardless
Matthew 8:23-27 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
All He asked us to do was to believe Him. We live in fear of what the devil could do to us. Maybe there are times in your life when you feel that things are going astray. Simply trust and surrender to God all of you doubt. We as Christians say we believe but we don't fully believe and trust God. The greater our faith the less we fear. God has never been defeated. A lot of us are easily persuaded by the enemy. We have faith but what we need is greater faith. Where do you stand with your faith?
Preached by Tommy Boring on August 3, 2014 (Sunday Evening).
Willing To Lend A Hand
Acts 3:1-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Our responsibility is to seek out those that need the spiritual uplifting of God. Sometimes people just want someone to care. Doesn't the lost look for something that will bring them peace and joy? God chose to use us to seek out those that need Him. We as Christians are to be the body of Christ and help those in need for them to look not at us, but to Christ. The devil wants everyone to be distracted from looking towards God. We should live our lives so that others are sure that something will happen with Christ. Do you have confidence in your church that they will be obedient to God? God never promised prosperity in your life. Our earthly expectations doesn't compare to what God can give. Sometimes it takes a touch, it may take you to say something.
Preached by Tommy Boring on June 15, 2014 (Sunday Evening).
