Through The Eyes Of A Blind Man
John 9:1-41 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There are many that find that the only way to Heaven is Jesus. Many of cults and religions find it offensive that there is but only one way. Now the story of the blind man has several points but we will focus on just two. The church didn't know this blind man that lived in their own community. The first thing they did was to challenge who Jesus was saying the He wasn't of God. Jesus Christ was God incarnate. There are religions out there today that claim that Jesus was just a man as you and I. The second statement was that Jesus Christ was a sinner because He did this act on a sabbath day. The blind man could see who Jesus Christ is but the church could not. The blind man asked the church to prove themselves in Moses' law where a person received their sight. There was only one person that could heal a person that was born blind and that was Jesus Christ, God. There is only one prayer that God will hear from a sinner and is the prayer of forgiveness of their sins to be saved. A lot of sinners pray but they waste their time and breath because God will not hear them because they are not His. Christ was sinless and on the cross He took upon all the sins of the world become a sacrifice for us all that would be live in on Him.
Preached by Tommy Boring on February 10, 2019 (Sunday Evening).
Do You Want It?
John 5:1-8 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
It's unknown how God works amongst each of us. We can't tell whether there is a conviction or not because it's normally internal. But in any time when the Word of God is given, it's for someone in order for them to grow. If you've not been born again then you have an incurable disease. The church of Jesus Christ is the today's Bethesda. Politics is not going to save a person and if they are within a church and rule it, it's not longer a help. If you've tried what seems like everything and still are at a loss, try a true house of mercy. Not only is the house of God a house of mercy, it's also a house of misery. There is not a single person in a church that can judge another because they have been just as sinner as the next. It's also a house of hope for the hopeless. Do you feel as if God doesn't care for you? Christ died for you, He hung on a cross and took all of your sins upon Himself just for you. When Jesus comes to the House of God and knocks on someone's heart, He asks them if they want to be saved. All that needs to be done is a response, yes or no. There are people still to this day that don't want to be healed. They use their condition as a crutch to stay miserable. Unfortunately, for those people they will always be miserable until changed. When God changes you everyone will know it. Romans 10:13 Whosever. Do you want to be? Do you want peace?
Preached by Tommy Boring on November 9, 2016 (Wednesday).
Will You Be Made Whole?
John 5:1-9 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
When you look around you'll see people that are sick and troubled with the worlds problems but they don't have to be that way. There is no happiness in this world without God. There is victory in Christ because in the end He is the winner. Phil 2:9-11 It doesn't matter who you are we will all be equal in front of God in the end. In the end, the world will be destroyed, burnt up with high heat. Why would you want to go after the worldly things? You must obey in order to be blessed.
Preached by Matthew Adams on October 25, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
Do You Stink?
John 11:1-44 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We were in terrible shape before God saved us. We were in a state of death, rotten and stinking with sin. When something begins to die it begins to rot and turn corrupt. When Christ called us from sin He called us into a new body that will never die or corrupt with death. You can never go too far in sin for God to call you from it. Lazarus was dead and beginning to rot. We were in in the same condition before Christ saved us. We had no hope of living without Christ saving us from death. When Jesus saved you, He did it eternally, forever His. He changes you from death to life. If you could really grasp what God has done for us, we would ugly worship Him and thank Him. It's better to be saved than to be healthy. Your health, wealth and the name you've made doesn't matter at judgment. Jesus knew before He was called to see Lazarus. In our own lives, we wonder and ask, where is God? God works in His own time not ours. He has everything worked out for the glory of His name. Stop thinking you know what your plan is in this world.
Preached by Lucas Boring on August 18, 2013 (Sunday Morning).
