A Warning Of Separation
Galatians 5:1-8 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The devil will find every opportunity to slither his way into a persons life. The devil will present sin to you in a way that looks really good. God will punish you if you're not in His will. We are all guilty of doing things that God told us not to do. The altar is NOT for shame but for mercy.
Preached by Cameron Crisp on October 10, 2018 (Wednesday).
The Wiles of the Devil
Ephesians 6:10-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Satan is a created being and is no different than the angels in heaven. Satan has many tactics that he uses on the children of God on a daily basis. The thief has come to steal, kill and destroy. The thief is the devil and the wicked spirits that serve him. Their are enough to spread across the world. The devil does not have free rein of a christian because we are protected by the shield of God. John 10:10, 2 Cor 2:11, Eph 6:16, 1 Peter 5:8 We truly have an enemy and we can not stand in the flesh to fight him. It takes something greater than the flesh to fight him because he is in the sprint therefore must be fought in the spirit. He is not omnipresent but has many demons that do his handy-work. This world currently is the devils domain until Jesus comes back. The very thing that we live in, the flesh, wants to live in the world because of it’s lust. Nothing has changed since Adam and Eve because he is still deceiving and lying to people everyday. What a terrifying thing to be able to see with our eyes the spiritual warfare that goes on all around us. If we are saved then we are protected by Gods great hand and satan can not get to us unless God allows it. When Jesus died, He died for ALL but many will not submit to Him. If you’re playing with the devil he will take you further than you ever thought you would go quicker than you ever thought. When you light a match and place that flame under your hand, you will pull your hand back because there is a nerve that warns you of danger. Just as that nerve warns you, God also warns you of the dangers of the devil. Satan wants to destroy your testimony if you’re saved. Satan will use anything he can to tear you down. He will use religion itself to bring you down. If you are saved then you’re going to heaven but that doesn’t mean that if you play with the devil that he will keep people around you lost and going into hell. We hear it everyday, pastors having affairs because satan laid a woman in their lives. We as humans are ignorant to satan’s lies and deceptions.

It's a Family Matter
1 John 5:1-3 (Part of the Does He Abide Within? series).
We love one another because, it's a family matter. If you've been born again then you've been born of Jesus, the true love. There are many that are in the family that have been gone for a very long time. One can pick friends but you can't pick your family. Gal 6:10 We are to be good to those that are not good to you. Anya can love someone that loves back but we are to love those that don't want to be loved. The spirit of God will always a bring you to love one another. Often times we find ourselves feeling that we are in the right therefore not loving someone or saying sorry. Everyday the devil tries to destroy your relationship with another Christian. Mat 5:23-24 If you expect God to do something for you but have a grudge about someone, you must first remove the grudge. Mat 18:15 God doesn't allow fighting within His family. Luke 17:3 We are to forgive over and over. If you've been born again then you should love and forgive. God forgave you when you wasn't asking therefore you should forgive others.

The Process of Humility
Matthew 18:1-6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We can all be guilty with pride.  We should deal with it instead of making excuses for it. How often to we allow pride to cause us to act foolishly?  We find ourselves wanting to be higher than the next. The first thing we should know is that it doesn't matter where we come from, you will not get into Heaven based on that. There are people everywhere that think their goodness will get them into Heaven. Just as Jesus was humble during His abuse, we should also be the same. A lot can be learnt from small children. One is that they are dependent upon an adult or parent. We should be dependent upon God for He is our ONLY provider. Little children are void of malice, they will play with others no matter the other child. We as adults are not this way as we judge others and if someone crosses us we get angered. We are more concerned about, "me". Children are often in humility. When playing, they don't care who they are and are free thinkers. When we become adults we try to be something or someone that we are not. How can we humble ourselves? We must lose our lives to others and to God.the more humbled you become, the more God favors. If you choose not to humble yourself then God will cause you to be humbled. One way to humble yourself is to go back to the cross. Christ didn't deserve His death and scourging, but He did it for us ALL. Christ surrendered Himself for the will of another. So what happens when you live a humbled life? You will be abused and taken advantage of.

The Advocate
1 John 2:1-2 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We are all sinners, when we sin we break the law of the Ten Commandments. We will all be judged for the sins that we commit. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse for innocents. Whether you have a written bible or not, God put the law in your heart. You from right and wrong. If you do sin you have someone to plea on your behalf. If you do not have Christ in your life, then you do NOT have an advocate to plea your case before God. Jesus is the only one that can stand in the gap because He is righteous. If you are lost, then God only sees you. If you are saved, then God sees His Son and His Son pleads His case and that you are His.
