A Voice Above All Other
John 10:1-5 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God speaks to people in different ways. In Genesis you'll read how God spoke in the dreams of Joseph. Yet in Matthew 1:20-24; 2:13; 2:19; 2:22 we read where another Joseph was talked to in his dreams by God. However still today, God still speaks in many ways. Make sure when you think you hear God speak that it's of God. Gods made of wood, gold or stone will never speak back. Some are confused about Gods speech and expect Him to verbally speak in a loud voice to them. Some confuse His voice with things of this world. In the end, you WILL know when He speaks because His voice bares witness with your soul.

Have you ever thought about your kidneys functioned? How about your lungs when they expanded? Have you ever stopped to be thankful for those simple but very important things?

Not only does God speak to our mind but He also speaks to our hearts. Thru Gods speech to our hearts, conviction of sin is made therefore bringing forth repentance or Salvation. We should at all times pray without ceasing. Prayer is not just a one way speech but a two way conversation.

John 10:1-5 notice how the shepherd calls the sheep and they hear his voice and will only answer to his voice. If you're one of His then you know His voice and you should follow Him always.

Something's Missing
Luke 15:11-14 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
A lot of us want things that we think we are owed. We were owed death and hell but God seen otherwise. Some of us question Gods word for us and think we know better. There is a place in your heart that needs filled and during your life you'll try to put things in that hole to try to fill it. Nothing in this world will ever fill that void. Jesus is the ONLY thing that's able to fill that void and He will never leave that void once it's filled with Him. Repeating a prayer, having a prayer prayed over you by the pastor or having your name on a church membership doesn't make you saved or fill that void. If you think you've struck a deal with God that gives you the ability to do what you want (sin) then you've been badly mistaken. You're in the wrong. God has a plan for everyone, it's just a matter of accepting His call in your life. If you avoid His call, He will try to get your attention. Sometimes it takes a lot, sometimes it takes very little to grab your attention. A lot of times folks are scared of what you'll have to give up once you turn your life over to God. God will never leave you and if He calls you, He WILL carry you thru whatever He's called you to do. What God has done for us is just beautiful. We ALL fall short of the Holiness of Gods Glory but repentance and forgiveness gets us closer and closer. When you ask for forgiveness and you get that forgiveness, God doesn't hold it over you but in fact gives the feasts of feasts because He loves you.

If there is someone that thinks that Hell is just a big party and not that it of deal, they're completely in the wrong. Hell is to be feared and there will never be a "party" but torments and a fire that will never burn up the flesh and will never cease.

Don't Get Comfortable
Revelation 3:14-22 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God is the one that deserves all the honor and glory because He is the provider of all things. We get prideful and comfortable in ourselves and slowly stop relying on God. The things we accumulate in this life, money, goods and works will burn up in the end of time. One can't live one way and expect another so when you are teetering between Gods way and the worlds way God will not bless. God blesses us with things to bless others, not to fill our lives with things. So when God blesses with an abundance of food we are not to eat until we can't move. We are to share that food with others. Just the same with money, we are not to be selfish with our money and use it only for ourselves. Bless others by showing them that God loved you, therefore we love them. Someone that is prideful will not humble themselves to others or to God. When was the last time you repented, humbled yourself before God? God is always there and all we have to do is ask Him. It doesn't matter who you are or what you think, there will come a day that you WILL bow before Jesus Christ and worship Him. Whether you want to believe in Him or not in this life, you WILL at your death.

An Attitude of Gratitude
Ephesians 5:8-20 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Giving thanks always for all things. There are some things we don't give thanks for cause we don't like them. So how can you give thanks for all things even the bad? We must understand and know that nothing touches us without it being ok'd by God first. Widows that's lost their loved ones that still lift their hands to say that God has been so good to them. There is plenty to complain about in this world in the flesh. There isn't a person that has not suffered. Those that suffer and are Christians discover that God helps them and is present in the sorrow. The lost will suffer alone and without God's help. Our problem is that we are afraid of Gods finest because it requires sorrow, purification and trials. But through them all, God is their and in full control. All things work to the goodness of God. The good stuff isn't usually just laying on the surface. What would you do if something bad happens to you? Prepare yourself for those things to happen. Put all your trust in the Lord.

Reconciliation
Ephesians 2:13-19 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Of all the things that we can think of what God has done for us, reconciliation is the last thing we normally think of. Our job is not to judge another but to simply lift up His word to all. God has removed the wall of separation between Him and us, Jews and Gentiles, men and women, etc. There is no big or little persons within the world because it's level at the foot of the cross. Clicks and crowds do not matter to God. There should never be a "spiritual racism" in regards to the name over the door of the church. Jesus didn't come for the Jews only or to the Gentiles only. Jesus came for all! As long as there is a division there can never be a unity of one. What separates each and everyone person from God? Sin. There is no big or little sin, they are all simply a sin. We are all sinners, even the saved are sinners but they are saved by grace. The only way to deal with sin is to accept Jesus Christ as your savior. There is no doubt, no question about whether God could save someone. If it wasn't for reconciliation we would still be separated from God by sin. The ONLY hope that we have is in Jesus Christ, so follow Him and give Him everything.
