Where Is Your Name Written?
Luke 10:17-20 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Now in I this scripture, the 70 men were given a certain power to do these things. None since then have been given this power. Now there are a certain faith that seems to think they can do these things but the doctrine always wins, they die. We are warned not to find our peace in things that are carnal, the healing, the miracles or even the good things that might come our way. It rains on the just just the same as the unjust. There should be an excitement when it comes to attending the house of God. One never knows what God has in store. There are four things that we should not have faith in. Super natural powers is the first one. Yes they are powerful and miraculous but they are but temporal. Baptism is also something that one should not have our full joy in. Baptism can not save a person but it's only a visual representation of being changed, saved. Church membership is not something that should not be rejoiced as being saved. A lot of folks want to join the church but offer nothing to the believers. Works is one thing that a lot of people but their stock in that will seemingly gain them access to Heaven. Gods Word is plain when it states that no one is good and your good works are as filthy rags. Many will claim they did things in Jesus name but they don't know Him. What to rejoice about. Is YOUR name written in the Lambs book of life? Being born again is a personal thing. A man written name will not get you into Heaven. A church membership book will burn up in the end. Therefore it's not of any importance. If your name is written in Heaven then someone up there had to write it and that person is God. Whatever is of God and whatever is written of God is forever.

The Crown That We Will Receive
2 Timothy 4:6-8 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Most of the time we try prep for what's coming. We often go to the grocery store to purchase groceries because we must prep for an upcoming meal. In our human bodies we all know that there is an end coming, death. We must prepare for that day just as we prepared for the upcoming meal. The difference is that we don't know when death will come. There is a work for us all to do, whether they be good or bad is to be judged at our death. In our humanly body we most all of us have worked a job. If we had worked two weeks and not received a paycheck, we would probably be slightly upset. Just the same, if the employer paid you in advance and you never did the work. So where do you place yourself in your commitment level when it comes to doing Gods work? There's a reason that we work for Christ. You must examine yourselves and make sure that you've fought a good fight the best that you could. One can't work themselves into Heaven, only by grace alone will one be allowed into Heaven. 2 Timothy 4:8; crown of righteousness James 1:12; crown of life 1 Peter 5:4; crown of glory Rev 4:4; crowns of gold Is it right to reward a person that does nothing versus a person that does it all? Rev 4:8-10 These crowns were given back to Jesus, cast at His feet by those that earned the crowns. Something that we could give back only because He is worthy and not us. Just imagine being there and not having anything to give back.

Why Do You Do?
Philippians 3:1-15 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Whatever we do we should do it as we are to do it for the Lord. There are many that do things in Gods name but they don't even know Him. There are those out there that think that just because they are good or do good things means they are okay with Christ. Many so called preachers on tell many that if you're good hearted then it's alright with God. Phil 3:7-8 Where is your zeal and desire for the one that loves you? We often live in ourselves and want the things that comfort ourselves. Are you concerned if He is pleased with you? A "just get by" attitude doesn't please God. Phil 3:9-10 How many really try to know God to get closer, to know His attributes? You should desire to to know Christ like He knows you. Strive after Him! The greatest treasure that your heart would ever desire is Heaven. Everyone wants to go to Heaven but they don't know how to get there. They've been deceived on how to get there. So do you want to go to Heaven? Phil 3:12-14 We should chase after Jesus because He first loved us, not us loving Him first. Forget those things that cause you to distress. Fix your eyes on the goal ahead and go for it! There is a prize to be gained at the end of the journey. Heaven is the prize and if you miss it, you've missed it ALL. Once you get to Heaven the fighting, suffering, and longing stops. Phil 3:15 If you think different than what was just mentioned, then you're wrong and Hell bound. 2 Cor 5:9, the love of Christ should make you get up and do it all for Him because He loved you first. If you're a Christian then you have NO excuse to do what it takes for Christ.

Righteousness (Part 2)
Romans 10:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Deut 30 references Rom 10:5. One must complete the law in its entirety. No one has been able to keep the law perfectly therefore we are guilty. The works of the flesh will not be accepted as a payment into Heaven. Jesus Christ would have never been sent as a sacrifice if there was another way into Heaven. Do you think you're a good person? If you're trying to get into Heaven by any other way but by Jesus Christ then you're creating a self righteous religion that will get you into Hell. There is a way that seems right but it WILL lead to death, Hell. How many people go to the doctor if they are well? Likewise, how many people will go to Jesus when everything seems to be going good? Most people judge their relationship with Christ by watching others. If that person lives just as good as they do then everything just be ok.

Perfection is the only thing that will go to Heaven. There is not a single person that has mastered perfection. What makes a person perfect is by accepting Christ as their savior. Who in their right mind would say that they would rather go to Hell than to Heaven? Christ has already done everything He can to allow you to go to Heaven.

So how do you get saved? There is one thing required and that's to believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins, Rom 10:9-10;13.

Righteousness (Part 1)
Romans 10:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
If you ask anybody if they would go to Heaven, most would say yes that they would. Most are not even saved but think they're good enough to get into Heaven. The prayer should be for those that are lost to be saved. In order for soul to be saved it must know that it's lost. We live in a culture that think they are moral and good and do not think they need God. Prov 30:12 does this not sound like we are living in this generation? Visiting an altar does not make one saved. Church attendance will not make one saved.

It's very important that you look at yourself in the mirror and make sure that your sins are taken care of with God. Self is usually at the heart of the sin. Those that go around establishing how righteous they are, are like white sepulchers. The outsides look and seem beautiful but on the inside they are full of death, rotting flesh and bones. Self righteousness is for what? What does it gain you to be self righteous? We are born into a self righteous body that we all struggle with. If you don't think there is a problem then that's one of your problems. Simply looking at church attendance and comparing the numbers for each service will quickly explain a self righteous attitude they people do not need to worship or repent. 2 Cor 10:12 comparing us to the dung, waste of cattle - farmers look at the waste in order to make sure they are healthy and eating correctly. In the end, it's still dung, waste. One pile of dung is just the same as another pile of dung just the same as one person is just a human the same as the next.
