A Thirst For God
Psalm 42:1-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
John 7:37 In order to thirst for God we must first be without God. The world provides us a drink but it is not quenching. The world no longer thirsts after God. Do you hunger more for God than you do the things of the world? If you don't love God on Monday then you won't love Him on Sunday. The things that the devil gives does not nurture the soul. If you don't love Jesus then everything else will fall apart. If you go to church for any reason other than you love God, then you're going for the wrong reason. When you eat too much of the world you will begin to get full and no longer hunger for God. Because of the abundance of "church" and freedom we've become uncaring and too comfortable to love God. Wednesday night services is the icing on the cake for our worship. Are you gospel hardened? When times get hard and barren, thank God for it. There are some of us that need to be brought down in order for us to see that God is truly all we need. Pray that God makes you thirsty because if you are thirsty you will hunt for God.

Grace for Grace
John 1:11-17 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The scripture is clear that by Grace we are saved. It's not that we can do but all that He can do. You being saved had nothing to do with you. "I do not come into this pulpit hoping that perhaps somebody will of his own free will return to Christ. My hope lies in another quarter. I hope that my Master will lay hold of some of them and say, "You are mine, and you shall be mine. I claim you for myself." My hope arises from the freeness of grace, and not from the freedom of the will." -C.H. Spurgeon. You can't earn grace. God loved the world so much that He gave His only son. Not one person can look around them and say that someone is un-savable. Grace isn't about a church membership. Not a single person deserves to be saved. Being born again is something that one can't obtain on their own. God chooses who He will grant and to when. Don't miss His calling. Once you accept the calling of God then you have the fullness of Christ. John 1:16 What is Grace for Grace? The freeness of Grace. Grace for the Graces sake because God is grace. The fullness of Grace. Grace for every need that is always there that each Grace is for the Grace to come. The devil wishes there was no grace. Grace creates grace. Grace for the promoting or creating Grace through you. Grace instead of Grace. The substitution of Grace for Grace. In order for their to be forgiveness of sin, there must be a blood sacrifice. God excepted the blood of animals in the Old Testament time period. Even in the New Testament blood must still be given for Grace to be applied and that's the blood of Jesus Christ. The only reason you are breathing is because of Grace. If you are born again and your life ends on this world, Grace will lead you home.

Caught Unprepared
Acts 1:6-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Jesus is coming back. Nothing will hinder Him from returning. 2 Peter 3:3-4 Some will make fun of and say He isn't coming. According to the bible, everything has been fulfilled and at any moment He could return. God will not destroy earth with water, He will destroy it with fire. God has promised that He will return. Just because one doesn't believe that God is real or coming back doesn't make it untrue. 2 Peter 3:8-10 We as humans have set time, God doesn't have a timeline. Time doesn't mean anything to God, He is the alpha and omega the beginning and the end. God hasn't come back because He is long suffering to us. When God takes His children home, it's not the end. There will be seven years of evil hell on earth. If you think that you'll wait till after God comes back you may die before then. With you hearing this or reading it, you are refusing Gods drawing and rebelling Gods calling right now. Right now, we live in a time of Grace that is for every single person. If you don't believe in God now you will believe when He comes back but it will be too late because His grace will be pulled away. God will come when you are least expecting it. 1 Thessalonians 5:8 This time that we live in now is wicked but God is in full control. When God comes back today you will be frozen in your salvation. Either He will find you saved or He will find you lost. If you are alive and lost when God comes back, you will witness the greatest phenomenon that has ever been seen. In a flash you will see all of those that are saved be changed and leave this world. There will be a day that EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. The question is, are you ready to go? Revelation 22:12-13

Does God Know What You're Going Through?
2 Corinthians 4:7-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Everyone will have or has had trouble. Most people struggle because they give in to the lust of the flesh. There are some that simply will not read or study the Word of God. There are people all around you that are in need and struggling. God can not and will not be destroyed. If you are saved, one of His, God will never leave you. He will hold you up, He will carry you when you fall. We have valleys to walk through because He is always building us. Troubles will make you grow stronger. Have you ever asked God why bad things happen? If you don't know why you're going through the valley, don't be in despair. God is not a human that could fail. Being saved means you will be persecuted, but that doesn't mean that God left you out on your own. Did you know that children of God go through more than the lost? Even of one is killed because of the glory of God, death is just the start of your Christian Life. If you knew it could cost you your life or your families life, would you still live for Christ? Don't give up when it gets tough. Knowing that our troubles are just temporary is exclusive to born again Christians.
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 15, 2013 (Sunday Morning).
Fellowship With Christ
1 John 1:6-7 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Do you know the God of Light? You're either following God or the devil. A Christian should turn away from the darkness and become a partner with God. If you say you are a Christian and yet live the opposite way, you're a liar. Your actions speak you fellowship with God. You can lie to yourself and others but you can't lie to God, He already knows your life and the truth. How many "Christians" live a lie and put lost in hell everyday? If you're having difficulties walking with God, it's because your not right with Him. If you don't have fellowship with one another as Christians, you will soon stop attending church.
