Your Only Hope
Psalm 39:6-13 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Some are in a place today because you made a choice by yourself without Gods guidance. It has brought negative consequences on your life but there is a remedy. We as humans often think we know what's best. That usually gets us into a bad shape. We should fear God as in a second He can bring us into subjection.

Materialistic items will be left behind at death. Your mind, your health and all of your belonging will all be left behind. All of your current endeavors will be in vain at the time of your death. If life is truly vain then what is there to look forward to at death? Put your hope in the Lord! If you're lost this life is as good as it's going to get but, if you're saved then this current life is as bad as it's going to be.

We as humans all have things that mean absolutely nothing at death. We must repent of those material junk items. The Word of God, the bible, was not written about you therefore it's not about you. The bible was written on One and that was Jesus Christ.

God chastises those that are His because He loves them and wants them to do better. God knows exactly how to chastise those that are saved because He knows us inside and out. He knows each and every person and what it'll take to bring one under submission. The saved should at some point know that when God calls one out, stop, listen and obey. The saved should never think that God wouldn't chastise them. God can and will bring you down if you do not repent of the sins in your life. When God chastises it breaks down the pride down to nothing.

Be so heavenly minded so you're no earthly good. We live in a Godless society. Flesh is everywhere! The saved should feel more like a stranger in this life than a welcomed guest.

Stop fighting against God. What you need can be found on your knees thru repentance.

Who Is Rich?
Mark 10:17-31 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Every adult is rich. 70% of the adult population has less than $10,000. The problem is that we like to compare what others have to ours and see that others or richer than you therefore defining your own definition of what rich means.

The reason that Jesus came was because we couldn't keep the commandments. Think about your own life, heat and cool at the touch of a button. Hot water by the turn of a switch. So these things that you "own" surely since you own them you can keep them forever. At the time of your death, what will you take with you? All the belongings in your life will be left behind and nothing will be taken with you when you die.

Going to a third world country we see and compare what they have versus us. The comparison is not fair because it's based upon our current lifestyle. If one would stop and ask them if they are poor they would surely say they are not.

Billionaires wish they were happier at times but they seemingly have everything they could ever want. What does it profit a man to have everything but die with with a lost soul. Here on this earth you could have all the riches in the world but die lost and have nothing. A saved person can live on this earth with nothing to their name and die and be the richest person for eternity.

In today's time it's difficult to call to the sinner because they think they have everything they need. Can a rich person be saved? Yes, but they must put their riches away, they can't put their trust in them. A man can't worship two gods. People that trust in riches have no need for a savior because they put their trust in their riches. If you've got anything in this life, rejoice over it. Each time you can turn the water on, rejoice! With every egg you eat, rejoice! With each minute you work, rejoice!

You came into the world naked and empty handed, you will also leave this world naked and empty handed no matter what you own or know. How rich are you? If you don't have Christ, salvation, then you are as poor as poor can be.

How To Be Happy
Psalm 1:1-6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
What's going on in our world right now? Just a few years ago folks loved to worship God and couldn't wait to worship God and depending on God for everything. The devil has come to steal, kill and destroy. For all of us there is two parts to us, a flesh and a spiritual. Blessed is the man that doesn't walk with the world. Satan doesn't want us to tell anyone about the goodness of God or invite folks or even yourself to church. So how can a man or woman be happy? There is only one thing that can make one happy. Which would you rather have, something that's temporary or something that's eternal?
  • To truly be happy you must be born again. You must personally know Jesus Christ.
  • A prayer life is the next thing to have happiness. If you have a prayer life you can stay close to God.
  • Stay in your bible, make a set time to read His word. It will help you stand when you can't stand on your own.
  • You must also be a committed Christian. You should be committed to God, your church membership and your fellow Christian brothers and sisters.
  • One should also be assured in Jesus Christ and His word. The time is fast approaching to His second coming. The signs are right in front of us and are taking place every second, everyday.
  • We must believe the Word. Just because the pastor says it doesn't mean it's the gospel. The pastor is just as human s the next and we should know the bible and its life and not the pastors or anyone else's.

The Brazen Altar
Hebrews 13:9-15 (Part of the Tabernacle, Covenant and a Priest series).
Tabernacle Layout

Bronze Altar

Heb 9:24 this is reminding that it didn't involve God as a being but just as a symbolic figures.

The Bronzen Altar was 8ft wide and 8ft long, square and stood 5ft tall. Just a church, it's setup for sin to be brought up to God. The church is open just the gate for any and all. There was no steps to the altar, it was not allowed. Christ was a type of this altar. We have an altar where we bring our burdens. Christ was crucified on a hill, no steps in order to get there. Once He was at the top He was sacrificed. The common person could go to the altar but no further. The person with the sin would make the sacrifice and would lay their hands on the sacrifice to transfer their sin to the sacrifice. While this happened the priest would then kill the animal and capture it's blood. Then the blood would then be poured around the altar for the remission of the persons sin. Imagine Christ as He was whipped and His flesh was torn. Walking to His cross leaving a trail of His blood all the way. Then when they nailed Him to the cross as His blood drained down the cross. The fire in the altar was to never go out. God started the fire and just like John the Baptist said about being baptized, it's a fire that will never go out. Once you're saved, God will put a fire deep down in your soul that will never go out. If you want your fire to grow and get hotter, find yourself at the foot of Jesus. Calvary was outside the city, the Holy Place. Sacrifice is something anyone can do and anywhere. An altar is a place where one allows things to be given up. The great thing about today's altars is that there is no shedding of blood because it's already been given. Heb 9:1-15 we should go to the cross (altar) and bear it. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ then you MUST identify with the cross. Could we pick you to pattern how to praise God? Rom 12:1 at the altar we should become a living sacrifice. What have you been bringing God to altar? Only the best could be brought to the altar, no second best. Christ walked up the ramp with the altar on His back and gave Himself as the sacrifice that would forever pay the sin debt for all that would accept it.

You Know Already
Daniel 5:1-31 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
When you get to judgement, the only thing that will come from your mouth will be, "amen" hearing your own condemnation if you're lost. Every man is a liar and God is true. In our history books we read about Babylon falling and when it fell a great party took place. Daniel 5:1-31 speaks of this great fall. When you die your not just dead, there is a life after death. Which life you pass into is up to you. Daniel 5:22 people walk around with the knowledge of Jesus Christ coming to save the lost. Refusing to believing in that fact does not make it invisible or non applicable to you. The reason why the lost will say amen to their own condemnation is because they knew. We live in a time that folks are unmoved of the truth of Jesus Christ. Daniel 5:23 shows us that he had no fear of what God could do. Today we live in a time that folks no longer fear the living God. People live after their own wisdom which is flawed. Titus 2:11 proves to everyone that Christ's invitation will appear to ALL persons. Daniel 5:24 declares a judgement, a closing. Once judgement is declared, it's done, finished. Judgement will catch many unaware because death is a sure surprise. Daniel 5:30 death came to a great city, one of the greatest cities fortified by men. Hebrews 10:28-31 you might walk around today with no fear of meeting a Holy God. Living just as you want in a lifestyle without Christ in your life. But when death finds you unprepared, it will be too late to accept Jesus Christ. God holds your very breath and that one fact should be enough to fear Him. He loves you and wants you to be with Him in His dwelling place, Heaven. When Jesus Christ invites you to be saved, accept His plead. Don't refuse Him, run to Him.
