The Crossroads
2 Corinthians 4:1-7 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We have no right to let down on God. The harvest is great but the laborers are few. One is not to get saved and then sit back and not work. If you're not sowing it, then you can't grow it. God has employed us to do His work, but we sit back and do nothing for the check or even the bonus check. Are you keeping the great commandment, keeping God first, loving Him first and loving our neighbors as ourselves? Would you let someone walk off a cliff if you knew they were about to? One that is saved should be going out and teaching others about Christ. If you're not willing to work and do what God has said, then what are you looking for and want?
Preached by Tommy Boring on March 24, 2013 (Sunday Evening).
Opportunity Makes A Thief
Exodus 20:15 (Part of the God's Top Ten series).
Taking anything that is not yours without permission. Is it owed to you? It isn't being used. It won't be missed. They can afford another one. I'm just so desperate. God will provide what we need. We steal from others, yourself and God. You can steal things that are not tangible by rumors and gossiping. Cheating is stealing. Taking a longer break at work than you're supposed to? Steal from your family by sinful spending. Stealing time by wasting it on entertainment. Rob ourselves from joy, peace, happiness and worship by worrying, unrepentant sin and half hearted. Do you tithe and give your offerings according to Gods law?
Preached by Tommy Boring on October 7, 2012 (Sunday Morning).
The Patience Of Job
James 5:7-12 (Part of the Spiritual Maturity series).
The importance of patience. No excuses about not having patience. We will argue with anything simply because we have no patience. We mess up when we do thing on our own, without God. You can't have a positive without a negative.
Preached by Tommy Boring on August 1, 2012 (Wednesday).
