Through The Eyes Of A Blind Man
John 9:1-41 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There are many that find that the only way to Heaven is Jesus. Many of cults and religions find it offensive that there is but only one way. Now the story of the blind man has several points but we will focus on just two. The church didn't know this blind man that lived in their own community. The first thing they did was to challenge who Jesus was saying the He wasn't of God. Jesus Christ was God incarnate. There are religions out there today that claim that Jesus was just a man as you and I. The second statement was that Jesus Christ was a sinner because He did this act on a sabbath day. The blind man could see who Jesus Christ is but the church could not. The blind man asked the church to prove themselves in Moses' law where a person received their sight. There was only one person that could heal a person that was born blind and that was Jesus Christ, God. There is only one prayer that God will hear from a sinner and is the prayer of forgiveness of their sins to be saved. A lot of sinners pray but they waste their time and breath because God will not hear them because they are not His. Christ was sinless and on the cross He took upon all the sins of the world become a sacrifice for us all that would be live in on Him.

Acts 9:1-19 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
|Ananias was called to do a certain duty. Ananias was a certain disciple just like all of us that are called of God as being saved. Ananias' job was to simply obey.
One thing that Ananias had was that he was present in the time of need. Just as he, the saved should also be present. How many of the born again believers are absent from the work of God? We as the saved have a responsibility to be ready and willing to do what God calls you to do. If you're a child of God then you're able to do whatever God calls you to do. We should all as children of God be praying at all times.
Most all children of God are prone to great fear which is why we try to reason with Gods calling. Ananias had that same fear when he was called to visit Saul. Regardless of what God tells us to do, we should always be obedient. Faith grows when we obey God. One can talk about their faith all day but without works or proof it is dead.
From the front to the back door all we have to be as a Christian is willing to do what God tells us to do. Praying to God, listening to God, obeying God then doing what He says. Be honest with yourself, how would you rate yourself with the work of God?

"Well Done!" Will You Hear It?
Matthew 25:14-21 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We need to be faithful with a few things. When people look at the church they see a lot of people just like them instead of a people set apart. When God gives your something to do, be faithful in that and do it to your best ability. Be faithful in your service. A servant of God can't serve two masters. Mathew 6:24 You will either love God and hate the world or hate God and love the world. Romans 6:6 If you are saved, you belong to God and not yourself. 1 Corinthians 4:1-2 We as church members should be faithful to each other as well as God. To serve God is to follow God. John 12:26 Does God expect or is He looking forward? Romans 12:1 Being saved means we should consider ourselves as a living sacrifice. To truly serve God you must serve one another. Galatians 5:13, Matthew 25:40-46, Galatians 6:2 Does it matter what you do? Luke 14:33 If you're not willing to give it ALL, then you can't be His disciple.

The Cost of Serving Jesus
2 Samuel 24:24 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Anything of great value has a cost. Anything that we give to God it must be of great value. Are you giving God your first best or your second leftovers? Do you agree that everything you have came from God? God is looking for a commitment. But unless you realize that it's of great value, it will not be a commitment. The world wants a feel good message not a truthful message of rejection. Simply writing a check of high money is not of great value to God. You must love the things around you less than the love that you must have for Christ. God doesn't accept your second best. With Sunday being the first day of the week, it's the first therefore the best. If you don't love Jesus more than everything else in your life you better get on your knees. One can't be a disciple of Jesus if you only want to serve Him in part. If you think it's easy to serve God, you've been tricked. Jesus himself stated that if one decides to follow Him, they would be persecuted for His name. Are you giving God your all?

The Content of My Character
Matthew 12:33-37 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
If the world was to judge you on the content of your character, what would they see? If there is evil in your heart then it will come out in your life. Twelve men impacted the world until it ends by their character. If you say you are one thing but do another, you ARE a hypocrite. One of the best things about serving God is that once one realizes they've messed up, asks for forgiveness, God is always there to lift you back up. The twelve that were disciples were just as plain men as the rest of us. If the pastor was to judge you today, and then an outsider was to judge you, would it be the same. Will you be justified or condemned by your character?
