The Wiles of the Devil
Ephesians 6:10-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Satan is a created being and is no different than the angels in heaven. Satan has many tactics that he uses on the children of God on a daily basis. The thief has come to steal, kill and destroy. The thief is the devil and the wicked spirits that serve him. Their are enough to spread across the world. The devil does not have free rein of a christian because we are protected by the shield of God. John 10:10, 2 Cor 2:11, Eph 6:16, 1 Peter 5:8 We truly have an enemy and we can not stand in the flesh to fight him. It takes something greater than the flesh to fight him because he is in the sprint therefore must be fought in the spirit. He is not omnipresent but has many demons that do his handy-work. This world currently is the devils domain until Jesus comes back. The very thing that we live in, the flesh, wants to live in the world because of it’s lust. Nothing has changed since Adam and Eve because he is still deceiving and lying to people everyday. What a terrifying thing to be able to see with our eyes the spiritual warfare that goes on all around us. If we are saved then we are protected by Gods great hand and satan can not get to us unless God allows it. When Jesus died, He died for ALL but many will not submit to Him. If you’re playing with the devil he will take you further than you ever thought you would go quicker than you ever thought. When you light a match and place that flame under your hand, you will pull your hand back because there is a nerve that warns you of danger. Just as that nerve warns you, God also warns you of the dangers of the devil. Satan wants to destroy your testimony if you’re saved. Satan will use anything he can to tear you down. He will use religion itself to bring you down. If you are saved then you’re going to heaven but that doesn’t mean that if you play with the devil that he will keep people around you lost and going into hell. We hear it everyday, pastors having affairs because satan laid a woman in their lives. We as humans are ignorant to satan’s lies and deceptions.

Are You Spiritually Impaired? (Part 4)
2 Peter 1:9-11 (Part of the 2 Peter 1 series).
If you want to know what God's will is for you, you just read it. We should let our light shine. If you're lost, you can let God's light shine thru you. The world is blind to to the will of God. There are Christians that feed upon the world but they will become blind to the spirit. The more you apply the Christian graces the more able you'll be able to see the will of God. When you're close to God you'll be shown what the enemy has in store because God knows what's it's up to. Most backslid Christian can't see that they have been forgiven of their past sins. Once you forget what God has done for you you'll begin to backslide and fall away from God. If you can't see Spiritually and you can't remember the day that you were saved, you need to study if you've ever been saved. Some work so hard at doing things trying to get into heaven by their works but their works will never get them in to heaven. They are basically working their way to hell. If you're salvation is based upon somebody telling you that you've been saved, you need to question your salvation. No one but you and God knows if you've been born again. If you're in a race, you're in it to try to win it. You don't have to be born again to help the homeless, feed the hungry, adopt the orphans, but you must be born again to have the graves of God. 1 Cor 3:15 He was able to get to heaven but he suffered the entire way. 1 Cor 3:14 If you live in the graces you will walk into heaven through a great entrance or welcoming.

Give It All You Got! (Part 3)
2 Peter 1:5-8 (Part of the 2 Peter 1 series).
The foundation must be established in Jesus then faith is made. You are to do whatever it is that you are doing with your entire heart and not half heartedly. We are to add to our faith, virtue. Virtue means excellent. If we never had struggles then our inward would have all freedom. God never did anything halfway. We are to add to our virtue, knowledge. You must be teachable. Knowledge can easily be a prideful thing. One can't find diamonds laying on top of the ground. They are made deep down in the earth under great force and pressure. Just as our life, we are to learn with great knowledge, pressure under great diligence. We are to add to our knowledge, temperance. Having temperance means you have self control. Add to your temperance, patience. When one needs patience, one will have troubles. The hardest patience to learn is to not go beyond God, seeking or thinking we know what we need and not what God wants. Add to your patience, godliness. Godliness is the act of doing God like things. Brotherly kindness is to be added to godliness. It is the by product of godliness that makes us love everyone like God loves us. Charity being the last to be added and it is the full love of Christ. When you add to something it just gets bigger and bigger. Just like our Christian walk, we should want to get bigger and bigger in God. There is a reason why God is calling us to do these eight steps. If they are in you and they abound you will never be barren or fruitless. The reason to why you need fruit is because the world is looking for fruit. Have you ever seen a tree struggle to make fruit? It's natural that it produces fruit because it's its nature.

Spotlighting For Sinners
Luke 15:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
What is it to be lost? Being lost is just the same as being left in a dark room, not knowing where to go and wondering around in complete darkness. The lost do not know how to be found. They can not see their sin and their condition because they are not saved. If you've been saved, you've been given a light in the darkness and a map to live. What are we doing in our own lives to show the lost the way of salvation? The lost should see your life just as a moth sees and is attracted to the light. If you were in a mall and one of your small kids went missing, what would you do? The worry and panic of thinking that someone bad had stolen them away. The lost are just as those children where the devil has stolen them away. We should be just as concerned for the lost as we would be for a missing child. If you knew that you had seen a missing child, would you do something about it? Would you report it? Would you try to help? What are you doing with those that are lost? We should be putting effort into helping to get the lost saved.

The Chapter of Lost Things
Luke 15:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Every single person is a sinful sinner. All they had to do to become a sinners is to be born. Without the shedding of blood there will be no salvation. In order for something to be lost, it has to be owned first. There are four common elements to this passage. Each item that was lost were possessed first. The parables is referring to backslid people. How many times have you found yourself following satan instead of God? The next thing is that each item is lost not to be confused with salvation but with missing. All of us that have been saved have all gone astray at some point. The further the parable goes, the stronger and more serious it gets. Being backslid is simply getting off the path and that have lost their way. The third thing about these parables is that the items lost were searched for. The difference between the items lost is that the sheep doesn't have the sense to go back. The coin can't go back on its own. The human has to make a choice to go back. In all cases, the final point is that the owner found the items. We as humans have no idea if a person is saved or not. They can profess to us that they've been saved but they are not possessed by God. Being baptized will not save you from hell. Another thing that they all have in common is that when the items were found, the owners rejoiced. Being backslid and feeling ashamed doesn't change the value of you and His love towards you.
