Are You Listening?
John 7:32 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God simply has to speak and things happen. God speaks to us still to this very day. The same voice that spoke the world into form. The same voice that calmed the seas. One simple thing about God's voice is that we all hear it unless it's hindered by our own sin. We get to a place where we are hardened to the truth. We hear God's word taught so often that we think nothing of it. The problem is not the speaker, but the one hearing. To those of us that are saved, He has already spoken to us and has cleared the doubt away. God has called but we lack obedience to do. God spoke to Peter and asked him several time if he loved Him. It wasn't that Peter couldn't hear Him. It was that God was asking him a deeper question, wanting a deeper answer. Peter wasn't listening with his heart, only his mind. Still to this day, God is speaking to us but we do not listen with our hearts. When God speaks it will either get rejected or accepted. Either way it will NOT go out void. We can blame our deafness on anything and everything but the truth is, it's our sins that causes it and our pridefulness to keep it. Do you feel that you've got a hard time in life? The work in others is not validation of Gods Word, God's Word is validation of itself. He speaks to everyone which is the validation.

Christ Is All
Colossians 3:1-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Why are you not doing what God told you to do? We are always dragged down by someone else's excuses. No one makes you go to church. If you're not motivated to work for God by loving God, then it can't be done. If you're lost then you are dead and the dead can't do anything. So why do you go to church? Christ is all, All What? God is all wisdom. Have you ever been in a place that you had no idea what to do? If you want wisdom, just ask God for it. Eph 1:7-8 God isn't surprised by your condition. Stop trying to do it yourself! Wisdom is good for us. God knows everything from the now and forever to come. God is all grace. Grace is an umbrella. 1 Pet 5:10, 2 Cor 9:8 Grace is the one thing that shadows all of Gods people and we were all undeserving of it. God is all joy and peace. People everywhere are searching for joy and peace. Rom 15:13 What is it that drives a person to find joy and peace? There is nothing better in this world than peace. Peace can't be created in the mind. You must first have peace in your soul before you can have joy in your life.
Preached by Tommy Boring on June 15, 2014 (Sunday Morning).
The Thief Called, Worry
Philippians 4:1-9 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The truth is, we all worry. We worry because we don't know how to fix it. Most all things in life, we can't control. Burdens can't take your joy unless you worry about them. Worrying creates doubt and fear. Worrying about the problem doesn't fix it. How to fix "worry" or capture the thief? Don't worry about all the things in the world, pray about it. The first thing is to pray correctly through supplication and thanksgiving. Supplication means to let God know what we need through caring. Asking, "please help me...". Giving thanks is a component of your faith. It means you know and believe that God can do it. Romans 8:28 You may not think that it will be what you think is right but, God has never made a mistake. The second thing about fixing worry is thinking right. One can worry themselves physically sick. The third thing is right living. You must live for God in order to control your worry. If one simply does those three things, right praying, right thinking and right living one can have the greatest want in all mankind. PEACE! You don't just do these three things when you're in trouble, it's a life. Isaiah 26:3
Preached by Tommy Boring on March 30, 2014 (Sunday Morning).
He Still Is!
Exodus 3:1-7 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The reason why our lives are mundane is because we do not recognize that God has created a great thing. Did you come to see God work? God still is and we have that reason to rejoice in Him. If you are stuck in struggles, He sees and knows about them. God hears what you can't speak. There has never been a time where God has been surprised. God is all knowing. God knows if you are a helper or not, He will not allow an obstacle to be in His way. Today could be your fire in the bush. You can choose to ignore it or stop and recognize it. He sees, He hears and He knows. It's time that if you are saved, one of His, then you need to work.
Preached by Anthony Morgan on April 14, 2013 (Sunday Morning).
Grow Up!
James 1:1-5 (Part of the Spiritual Maturity series).
What did I do to deserve this? Why does He hate me so? I never get what I want. You don't know what I'm going through.
Preached by Tommy Boring on April 15, 2012 (Sunday Morning).
