Would He Die?
John 19:28-37 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There was never a question that Jesus would live, but if He would die. Jesus Himself had a hard time with His own death because He prayed to His father for an alternate method. Jesus told us that they would kill Him but He would raise again on the third day. Jesus wasn't sent to live, He was sent to die. When Jesus turned lose of life, He made it so that we also could live forever. Jesus did whatever He wanted to do during His death. In order for those that had died before Him to have a chance to believe in Him, He had to die as well to get them. The devil tried at ever chance he had to stop Jesus, from His birth all the way to the cross.
Preached by Tommy Boring on April 9, 2017 (Sunday Evening).
The Writing on the Wall
Daniel 5:16-31 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The reward of this world means nothing. If a man gained the entire world but lost his soul, what would it profit him. Three Hebrew words: MENE: God had numbered his life. Just as then, your days are numbered. You are here today but gone tomorrow. Your life is but a vapor compared to eternity. Death to all is coming. You will not live forever. It doesn't matter of your age, when it's your time to die, you will die. Doctors can not keep you alive forever. You've heard it all your life that you're going to die but you don't do anything about it. You're going to die, you're going to die. TEKEL: You will be judged after your death. Hebrews 9:27 We will all be judged at death. 1 Corinthians 3 Your life will either be worldly or Godly. The worldly life will all burn away into ash but the Godly life will be purified as precious metals. If you've been born again, you're not dead. If you're lost you will stand in front of the book of life to only show that your name is not in it. PERES: After your judgement you will either go to one of two places, heaven or hell. Knowing someone that is saved doesn't mean your saved. Your mamaws salvation will not get you into heaven. Salvation is a personal thing. If you are not saved, you will live forever in hell. Likewise, if you're born again your eternal life will be spent in heaven. One doesn't have to go to heaven but you can't stay here. You don't have to go to hell. In hell you will be in a party with your friends. You will be isolated, all alone in many torments. Where the flames never die and the pain will be forever.
Preached by Tommy Boring on June 26, 2016 (Sunday Morning).
What Will You Do With the Gift?
John 1:14 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
In the beginning of time, God was spirit only, not flesh. In order for God to become flesh He had to be born of flesh. The penalty of sin is death. Still to this day, the curse of sin is death and people continue to die each day. The reason that Jesus was born was to take the spiritual death away. God did all of these things so that Jesus could be the sin debt for our sin through death. There is no other payment for sin other than Jesus' birth and death. When Christ died his blood was given as a sacrifice for our sins. But on the third day He rose from the dead to prove that not only He was God but He had conquered death, hell and the grave.
Preached by Tommy Boring on December 20, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
If You be in Christ… (Part 1)
Galatians 3:27-4:6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Are you in Christ? No one can save themselves from sin. There is only one way to be saved and that's thru Jesus Christ. During the time of Jesus' birth, God had a greater plan. God sent His only son to a place that was full of evil. Jesus was born into the law. Even though we were all born into the world into sin, Jesus was born just the same but was born sinless. Jesus felt the suffering and hardship just as us but He remained sinless. Jesus was born of the flesh Mary, just so He could have the flesh to endure everything that we in the flesh endure. God would have sent another way to clean the sin if there was one. Hundreds of thousands of animals were sacrificed for sin, but none of those were enough. There was only one born sinless. The little babies and people that are mentally handicapped usually do not have the understanding of sin, right from wrong. But for the rest of us there will come a day where our souls are awakened to a lost and saved condition. We live in a day where we rely on self help but one can't save themselves. There is a payment for sin, it's death. In order for the sin to be paid Jesus was sent. Jesus paid the sin debt by being sacrificed. Therefore, if one rejects Jesus as being the payment for sin, they will die an eternal death in hell.

What If...
Luke 11:14-23 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There has always been a wicked spirit. If we could see the spiritual warfare around us, it would frighten us to see the demons in action. God doesn't need us to convince others of His work. We just declare the truth and pray for conviction. Luke 11:17 A house against itself will fall. If we let God do His work, He will purge us of every evil thing. When one begins to look for a spouse, one should look for one that is the same as you spiritually. All born again Christians should marry a Christian. God knows everything in our minds that we think and do not say aloud. We will stand before Him one day and give account to everything that we have done or not done. Many are trying to figure out if God is real or not, but there will be a day where He will make Himself real them. If you're young and God calls you to be saved, do it. The older you get the more satan puts barriers in your life to block God from you. What if you lived your life to the fullest and were a Christian and died and nothing happened after death? But what if God is real? What if? You're either saved or lost, no in between.
Preached by Tommy Boring on August 12, 2015 (Wednesday).
