Steal Away And Pray
Matthew 6:5-6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
It pleases God for us to go to Him in prayer. If Jesus went to pray to God alone, then we should pray to God alone. We talk about the failures and troubles in our hearts the most, God said to pray alone about those things. Once you get alone with God, He will reveal things to you. When was the last time you were alone with God? Stop depending in others to pray for you. It's your responsibility to seek God in prayer.
Preached by Tommy Boring on March 3, 2013 (Sunday Evening).
Do You Hear Him?
(Part of the Miscellaneous series).
You'll know it when God speaks to you, once He does, you need to listen. Usually when you least expect it, the Lord will speak. Do you stop and listen? Do you have a place besides church that is your altar?
Preached by Roger Best on August 5, 2012 (Sunday Evening).
The Power Of The Tongue
James 3:1-12 (Part of the Spiritual Maturity series).
Listen instead of talking. Because of words there are likely people that do not attend church or bear a grudge. A fire starts with a small flame and can grow to a huge blaze. A fire heats things up. A single word can create a heated conversation or situation. A fire can be painful, once started it can be difficult to contain so it spreads and fires destroy.
Preached by Tommy Boring on July 1, 2012 (Sunday Morning).
