Stopping The Voices
Psalm 40:1-4 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
|David endured physical afflictions and he often prayed about them. Also, he prayed for his enemies. Just as he, discouragement affects us all and it all begins in our minds.
God can hear you as long as you have repented and hold no inequity in our hearts. If God granted every prayer we asked Him instantly then He would surely be our spare tire. But God makes us wait thru patience.
Our mind is liken to a horrible pit full of never ending noise. We can not stop it no matter what we do and try. Always thinking, always listening, always wondering and doubting. The miry clay being depression that our mind will usually begin to think about if we don't put our minds at ease thru Christ. People today are screaming to be rescued from their own minds.
The clearest your mind will ever be is when you allow God to work in your mind. Prayer can bring clarity and remove the doubt in our minds. Not only will God clear your mind and ease it but He will also place you on something solid that you DO know.
How many have things are rolling around in your mind that you can't get rid of? A grudge against someone? Worried about a sickness? Stressed about a lived one?
For a child of God we are not a victim but a victor! We choose everyday which one you want to be.

It's About a Choice
Deuteronomy 30:15-20 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Many make Salvation a difficult thing. In the beginning God made Adam and Eve to have their own choice. There is nothing that you can do to separate you from the love of God. It's not difficult to make a decision, do you want life or death? God didn't make Adam or Eve love Him. He didn't make Moses to love Him, therefore He's not going to make you love Him either. You have a choice, He will not make you to be saved. The greatest of joys is to serve someone else. Have you made up your mind on who you will serve? One can't serve two gods, you will either love one and hate the other. No one is made to love God, it's a freedom that we all have whether we love Him. By default we are going to hell because we must choose God. It's an eternal choice that must be made once the invitation has been received because we don't know if we will take another breath. God wants you to choose Him because He loves you but in the end, it's completely up to you. Some keep going the wrong direction but expect different results. The table has been set full, the invitations have gone out, you're starving to death but, you just sit and watch other feast on the goodness of God. You can starve yourself to death. Have you made up your mind? Who are you going to serve? That simple choice will change you forever.

Genesis 3:1-6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Sin started with a lie. The devil is nothing but a liar and will never tell the truth. Many have fallen prey to the devils lies. The devil doesn't have any power. The problem with the devils lies is that he will tell you what the flesh wants to hear. The first lie that he devil told was that Adam and Eve would not die. The next lie the devil told them was that the would be like gods knowing between good and evil. All other gods are nothing more than idols. There can be only one God. The devil can't make you do it because he has no power over you. We live in a world that people believe the lies of the devil everyday. The devil lies about God because he hates God. He will tell you that God doesn't love you or God doesn't care about you. He will also tell you that God can't. The devil lies about Gods Word. The devil even tried to twist the scripture to Jesus. He also lies about other people. He devil lies to all of us. God hates a lying tongue. A lie can't stand against a truth just as darkness can't stand against the light. Don't be bound down by a lie for the truth WILL set you free. The devil will tell you that no one wants you, loves you or cares about you. The truth is that God loved you before anyone ever knew you and gave His own Son for you.

What's My Purpose In Life?
2 Corinthians 4:1-7 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God has created us for His own Glory. God is changing us for a purpose. God has called us into a ministry if you've been born again. We should never give up, lay it down when He has called you out, born again. If you've been saved, you've been given you a gift. People normally need an example to follow by. People watch others and make their own mind up on what a Christian is. One that is saved needs to live their lives as so. Do not hide the gospel to the ones that need it. If one chooses not to go to church, the lost is watching that. If you've been saved, you've been given a purpose. Are you afraid that you can't live your faith without getting into trouble? Don't put an age limit on Gods work. Don't give God excuses on why you think you can't do something for Him. He called you into salvation knowing that you have a purpose. If you had no purpose, He would be through with you and bring you home.

Hide And Seek
Psalm 139:23-24 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Bodily exercise profit a person little if you are hiding from death. For God to search your heart you must first surrender to Him. What hinders you to surrender to Him and to hide Him from others? Have you ever felt like something was missing deep in your heart? If the people that actually claim to be Christians were acting as that was true, we would live in a different world. If you can't feel the Spirit of a God in your heart, then you need to either repent or be saved. Test yourself, when was the last time you felt or was moved by Gods Spirit? Are you sure that if God searched your heart that He would find that you are one of His? If you love Jesus then you will want to spend your time with Him with every opportunity that you have.
