Without a Vision
Nehemiah 1:1-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We live in a time where their are multiple "gods" within our society. Therefore many sit at ease without any thought of anyone else because we have no real persecution for our beliefs. You are only upset and ready to fight when the devil attacks you or your family. Most have no concern for others and what the devil does to them. Where is your passion? Is it in your checkbook, your money? How about where you spend your time? If you can't love your neighbor as yourself then you can't love God. So who is your neighbor? As the bible says, one persons neighbor was their enemy. When was the last time you've asked them about their relationship between them and God? One of our problems is that we mind our own business when it comes to others salvation. Hoe do you know if you don't have a vision, you don't pray before God. Don't give up with praying. When God gives you the answer or the vision, you must do it.
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 13, 2015 (Sunday Morning).
Are You Nearsighted Or Farsighted?
Philippians 2:1-4 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We should love others more than ourselves. 1 Cor 13 We should be seeking after others to love. Just like our children and our spouse, we will sacrifice to get the things they want. If we are sharing the gospel with others, who is? Jesus' actions where nothing more than His love towards us. It's high time that we as children of God to change and love others more than ourselves. We take what Christ did for us for granted. Just as Jesus in the Garden of Gasemity, seeking and loving others is difficult at times. Do you like your church just the way it is? Do it all for love, no other motivation should be at the thought.
Preached by Bruce Whitehead on March 29, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
Love Your Neighbor
1 Corinthians 2:1-16 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
God is love. We can't understand how God could love a person like us. Love conquers all things. We should lift or love more than ourselves. We live in a time where we are ashamed of God. When you were saved He gave you a testimony that will stand the test of time. We can only give or point people to Jesus, we can't save them. Jesus is everything that a person needs. Jesus comes for everyone. We often look towards our own needs over our neighbors. Life is hard at times making it hard to trust God.
Preached by Ronnie Inman on August 17, 2014 (Sunday Morning).
Precious, Jesus
Colossians 1:15-19 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
It's a proven fact the a man named Jesus existed. But if you start to ask if Jesus the Christ existed it begins a controversy. Jesus was in the beginning of time. Jesus is to be pre-emanant. When we talk we should be lifting up Christ whether by song, teaching, preaching or in our life. In order to show how loved Jesus is, we must love Him first. The most important thing about being saved is that we will be worshipping Jesus as He fully deserves. What makes people want to be saved? Jesus allows us to use situations to witness to others but how can you witness if you don't love Jesus? You can show up to church, sing in church, talk about Jesus but not have any true care about it. The biggest need for our community, church and lost need is lifting up Christ. It's easy to get discouraged. The only goal or focus should be to lift up Christ, nothing else matters. We can't judge our success by numbers. The more time you spend with Christ studying, talking, walking and being with Him, the more precious He will become to you.
Preached by Lucas Boring on August 13, 2014 (Wednesday).
Everyone Wants To Be Blessed
Psalm 128:1-6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
When we talk about being blessed we want to tie it with works. To be blessed you must fear The Lord. The first key to fear God is to reverence Him. The problem today is that people do not fear God. Fear means to honor, reverence and to love. Faith is also a component of the fear of God. God controls your very being, your breath. He gives life and takes life. God wants to bless us all but if we do not fear Him, He will not bless us.if you want to be blessed, then stop doing what YOU want to do and start following what a God has told you to do. Blessings do not come from money. Psalm 119:35 Reverence God to the point that you tell God to MAKE you do it. If you fear God and do what He has asked, He will provide your food and you will be happy and it will be good for you. If you fear God and do what He said, your wife will be blessed and your children will be blessed as well. The church will also be blessed and bless you as well as your community. God will also bless you through the years through your grandchildren.
Preached by Tommy Boring on May 28, 2014 (Wednesday).
