Spectators of the Work
Luke 10:1-12 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Whatever hinders you from doing what the Word of God says, you need to deal with. The hardest IS great! How many days go by without you saying anything to a lost person about your salvation. Isa 5:18 Hell is growing larger and larger each day. God plainly says to go out into the world and compel them to come to church. Once you're born again or saved you're job has just begun NOT that you should just sit back and do nothing. You as the saved are the only gospel some may ever see or know. The great falling away is NOT an excuse that you can ever give to God for your lack of care for the lost. Many once they leave the church house, preacher or the church members they begin to act, dress and talk like the world. A saved person should be a different people called out amongst the lost. Do you realize that your brain could simply stop functioning and any given moment? Your heart could stop and the flip of a switch. God controls your life and we should act like it. You've got the answer to the lost persons need for salvation if you're born again. The sad news is that not everyone will be saved because they will reject Gods only son, Jesus Christ. This is fact and truth from the Word of God and can not be changed but, this doesn't give a saved person the excuse to not share Jesus with them. If you've got a big work to do then you should have a lot of people to do it or it will never get done. The preacher can not reach every lost person, that's why we as the saved must go out and compel them to be born again. So what do you do if you don't have enough workers, you go out and get more. When the harvest is ready, then you must get it in, work it. There are a lot of spectators that want to see the work of God but unwilling to surrender to God and do His work. Jesus went far and beyond for your life, why can't you go that far for Him? What do you have to lose? The Lord of the harvest is God and we should be praying to Him for more workers, help. We are not to pray harder for the lost, we need more help. The church doesn't need more bodies in the building, they need more workers. If a company had 100 employees that just sat and did nothing, the company would fail. But if a company had 100 employees that all worked, the company would grow and flourish. God has called everyone that's saved for a work and we should ALL be doing it. What's your purpose of being saved? The preacher has just as much responsibility as the lay member. Gal 4:8, Luke 4:14 God already wants to save the lost, John 3:16, so we can stop asking Him to do what He already wants to do. The problem is that God needs workers and we are unwilling to work and just want God to do what we want. The story of the little red hen. We have a reward coming for the work that God has called us to do, but we have to do it to receive it. If something in your life keeps you from doing the will of God, remove it, cut it out of your life. Everyone wants to see God, go to heaven, want the reward...

The Way That Jesus Speaks
Acts 9:1-22 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
No one can speak like Jesus speaks. There are some so-called Christians that are bewildered to hear how Christ speaks. It's because they've never heard Christ speak to them. Christ is the only one that can judge therefore the only one that can convict of sins. We as Christians are the only religion that has a god that speaks back. All of the other gods are dead and gone and have never spoke back once they died. Friends and family can love and comfort but at some point it's not enough, but God can give a peace that never goes away and comforts beyond the physical. Why does He speak to us? When we hate Him so much at times, He still speaks to us. Why? Because He loves us in spite of ourselves. His love surpasses all understanding.

Just Give It To Him
(Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Got a problem? Stop holding on to it, let God have it. Give it all to Him and don't pick it back up. Trust that He WILL take care of it.
Preached by Tommy Boring on November 29, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
Why Don't You Pray?
Matthew 6:5-13 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Christ had all power but He prayed to God so God could get the glory. Prayer is a privilege. Why is their an importance in prayer? Salvation is the first prayer that heard of God. Prayer is between you and God and not between the people around you. Strength, comfort, healing if you need it, ask. One can't have a relationship with someone if they never talk to each other. There are many that are Christians but have fallen asleep and are not praying. When it comes to altar prayer only a hand full go to the altar. The remaining in the pews find a distraction and create a distraction. If one doesn't pray they shouldn't ask why their life is such a mess. The one that spoke the world into existence wants to talk and commune with us. Us as adults have to show an example to teach the children to pray. What are you leaving for our children? What's your relationship with God? The only way to have a relationship with someone is to be close to them.

The Comforter
2 Corinthians 4:6-9 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Those of us that are saved do not sit in darkness. There are things in this world that we will never understand but God has given us promises. When things get dark around us, we just need to look towards God. There is strength in the Lord! The saved have a comforter, The Comforter. Romans 8:28 Everything works towards the good of God. We have hope and at times it's hard to see.
