Enemies Of The Cross; Advancing
Philippians 3:12-21 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We live in a world that hates Christ. This is not anything new as this has been going on sin Adam and Eve. The question is, are you in the battle for Christ, are you prepared? One may say to themselves and possibly others that they would never be an enemy to Christ. However, if you’re not for Him then you’re against Him. So check yourself, look at your checkbook. Usually what you spend the most on is what you love the most. If you’ve been born again then you should be willing to say, here I am Lord, send me. But, usually we say, I can’t do that cause I’m not qualified. We have the greatest opportunity to advance for Christ. What are are your eyes on? If something is advancing then something is being followed. Are you moving forward with Christ? Just because your name is on the church books means nothing if you’re not working for Christ and one of His. Your past will hold you back if you let it. Repent of your past and move forward. We should cut the bind that hold us back. When you’re chasing after something you usually don’t reach your arms out until you’re about to capture it. Usually when you’re in a race your greatest burst of energy is once you see the prize, the end. What are you doing for God? Church attendance is not the problem. The problem comes from within you. Once you fall in love with Christ then you’ll realize you can’t live without Him. All of those problems like attendance or simply sitting on the bench will get corrected. So which way are you going? Confused about which way to go, do you need direction? Begin with your Bible, it’s the light and the path and will not lead you astray. If you’re born again and another brethren is also born again then your paths are clear and in it for the same reason. Keep moving forward, keep advancing.

Work It Out!
Philippians 2:8-13 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Christ is the boss in a Christians life. At the name of Jesus Christ everything will bow and confess that HE IS LORD. Until one understands first that Christ is lord over all you'll never understand the next part. One must work out their own salvation with fear and trembling. No other thing will one answer to but Christ Himself. One can not work to their salvation. Too many people once they hit a road block they just lay it to the side and stop. One can't work out someone else's but only their own. If God has given you 5 things to do, He expects you to work on those 5 things and nothing less and nothing more. If you've been born again then you have at least one talent that should be worked.

Is God Worthy?
Philippians 2:5-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We are created in His likeness. Your life matters and everything you do matters. You can thank Him for the basics like food, shelter and health but even the birds have all those things. Man wants to see Gods glory but no man can see His glory in the human form. Our human form is sinful therefore we can not look upon God without a filter from His glory. When Christ became obedient unto the cross that made a way to God Himself. There is no other way to God than thru Jesus Christ alone.

The Angels seen Jesus Christ and watched God create all creation. They then watched Jesus become a man and descend to earth as a baby. When the single angel declared His birth the rest of the angels, multitudes of them declared and glorified Him. The Angels had waited for thousands of years to proclaim Christ's birth.

There is only one way to bring glory to God. Just as Moses had to be hid from Gods glory by a rock, we are hid behind Jesus. God made a search everywhere for a way but in the end, God gave Jesus, His only son, for us to truly glorify God. John 5:23 Jesus did the very work of God.

A Name Above Any Other Name
Philippians 2:5-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
No other name is more recognized than the name of Jesus. Whether you choose to believe in Jesus or not, you will bow down to Him at some point. You can either bow before Him here and now in receiving Him as your personal savior or die and bowing before Him at judgement being cast into an eternal hell. For those that are saved, at the name of Jesus it should bring a remembrance of being redeemed. For those that are lost it's a stumbling block an authoritative figure. If the lost waits to bow on the day of judgment then they've waited too late. If you're lost, don't wait to bow. Stop playing with borrowed time. His name is exalted above all other names because He is the only way that salvation is given.

Spoiled Brats with Clean Hands
Philippians 2:5-11 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Jesus didn't come to earth for himself but for us. Christ came to fulfill the will of God and we should do the same. We should be centered about others and not self. We should be of the same kind of Jesus Christ, seeking others, helping others, serving others. When Jesus, the king of kings was born, He left His riches behind once He became flesh. He was born into poverty. How many times are we worried about ourselves? We should not focus on ourselves. We've all got a problem or two. We at times say we could never be like Christ, but that's not true. To be Christlike we should give unto our neighbor far more than they need. If our neighbor asks for a shirt, we should not only give them our shirt but our jacket too. We often complain about every little thing. But we should stop complaining and realize that's it's not all about us. Others suffer more than we do. How many times do we wake up and the first thing we think of is ourselves? We sometimes think we have are a great Christian, but God says there is no one that is good. How many times are you willing to give up your time for others and Christ? If you seen or knew of someone in need, would you help them? If you knew of someone that were lost, would you love them?
