Are You A Neighbor?
Luke 10:25-37 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
A lot of times we try to justify ourselves instead of trusting that God knows best. God knows everything about so He knows when we are trying to get out of doing something we aught not do. You'll never be right with God if you're not right with someone else. So who is your neighbor? Your neighbor is anyone that you come into contact with. We can't mark people off or right them off because they look, act or smell a certain. Are you a neighbor? Are you in the position to where you allow things to blind you from loving someone? Are you loving others as you love yourself? Are you actively involved with others showing them that Christ died for them just as He died for you? We have NEVER merited Gods love for us. We have no right to Christ. Christ bled and died for everyone and not just a select few. How far are you willing to go? Most have a certain amount of compassion but it's limited. Once that limit is met then the compassion ends and goes no further. You realize that Christ was the neighbor that noticed you in the ditch, cut up, bruised and bullied by the world and yet He got in the ditch with you and rescued you! He came to where you were and lifted you up! Every unbeliever is on their way to death faster and faster with each breath they take. But Christ is reaching down to the lost and asking to just take a His hand. He will pull them out of the ditch they are in and set them on a full of life path. Mat 7:12

Luke 15:11-14 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
|A lot of us want things that we think we are owed. We were owed death and hell but God seen otherwise. Some of us question Gods word for us and think we know better. There is a place in your heart that needs filled and during your life you'll try to put things in that hole to try to fill it. Nothing in this world will ever fill that void. Jesus is the ONLY thing that's able to fill that void and He will never leave that void once it's filled with Him. Repeating a prayer, having a prayer prayed over you by the pastor or having your name on a church membership doesn't make you saved or fill that void. If you think you've struck a deal with God that gives you the ability to do what you want (sin) then you've been badly mistaken. You're in the wrong. God has a plan for everyone, it's just a matter of accepting His call in your life. If you avoid His call, He will try to get your attention. Sometimes it takes a lot, sometimes it takes very little to grab your attention. A lot of times folks are scared of what you'll have to give up once you turn your life over to God. God will never leave you and if He calls you, He WILL carry you thru whatever He's called you to do. What God has done for us is just beautiful. We ALL fall short of the Holiness of Gods Glory but repentance and forgiveness gets us closer and closer. When you ask for forgiveness and you get that forgiveness, God doesn't hold it over you but in fact gives the feasts of feasts because He loves you.
If there is someone that thinks that Hell is just a big party and not that it of deal, they're completely in the wrong. Hell is to be feared and there will never be a "party" but torments and a fire that will never burn up the flesh and will never cease.

Is God the Friend of Sinners?
Luke 7:31-35 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Some take it for granted that you will have another chance to get saved. In order to be saved you must first be convicted of your sin. Do you believe that God is a friend of sinners? God will judge of sin. There is a place that was created that has the opposite of joy and peace where God will not be. It was not created for you but for Satan and his angels. If you deny Jesus Christ you will surely be in the horrible place called Hell. Just because you attend a church or are a member of one doesn't mean that you are born again. Being born again is not about who you're kin to or what someone says. Salvation can not be manufactured under your own will. It doesn't matter where you've been or what you've done, you can still be born again. Some treat salvation as something that you can pick up and lay down only when you need it. Today is the day of salvation. When the Spirit of God moves, that is the time to be born again because only God controls conviction. Repeating a prayer doesn't save a person if the conviction of sin is not there with the drawing from Jesus Christ. One can't save ones self. Just because you read the bible or have a family that attends church or just because you've been baptized doesn't mean that you've been born again. You can't go through your life denying God and then claim Him in the end of your life. God gave us all the ability to make a choice. When God calls you, you WILL know and when He calls, that is the only time, chance that you will have to accept His calling. He only promised to call you one time. Conviction is Devine. When you really get under conviction you won't care what's around you if you really want to be saved.

You don't have to be young to be rebellious. You don't have to teach anyone to be prideful or rebellious. We call rebellion many things. When sin comes into your life, you'll see things in a different way. When you think you've got the world by the tail, you'll start being prideful. The devil wants to destroy you and cause you to go the opposite way of God. Just because someone you know lived a rebellious life doesn't mean you need to also. You can't sow bad things and reap something good later. Ask anyone that has rebelled against God and come back to Him and they will all tell you, don't go that way. We all have a choice to live, choose God! Don't think for one minute that just because you've been raised right doesn't mean you can get by in life sowing to the world. If you go around sowing to the world you WILL reap what you have sown. You can not stop it and the harvest will be from the world. The only way to not follow the world is to repent of the worldly nature of your flesh. Once your child gets to a certain age a parent can no longer chasten them, but that also means they've fallen into Gods hands. If you're a child of God and begin to run wild with the resources of the devil, you will run out. The devil only has so much to hand to you but you will run out as far away as where you started. Children think that their life is hard living with their parents. What makes a child think that a parent that would jump in front of a bullet would lead them or motivate them in the wrong direction? There are rules and regulation throughout this world and they are usually there to protect everyone because someone cared. When one rebels they will resort to doing embarrassing things for the devil. If you're saying, when you clean you're act up, you'll come to church, it will never happen. No one has ever been able to clean themselves. Romans 8:35-37 Nothing can separate us from Gods love. The devil will steal everything you've got before you realize that you need to go back to God.

Spotlighting For Sinners
Luke 15:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
What is it to be lost? Being lost is just the same as being left in a dark room, not knowing where to go and wondering around in complete darkness. The lost do not know how to be found. They can not see their sin and their condition because they are not saved. If you've been saved, you've been given a light in the darkness and a map to live. What are we doing in our own lives to show the lost the way of salvation? The lost should see your life just as a moth sees and is attracted to the light. If you were in a mall and one of your small kids went missing, what would you do? The worry and panic of thinking that someone bad had stolen them away. The lost are just as those children where the devil has stolen them away. We should be just as concerned for the lost as we would be for a missing child. If you knew that you had seen a missing child, would you do something about it? Would you report it? Would you try to help? What are you doing with those that are lost? We should be putting effort into helping to get the lost saved.
