The Wiles of the Devil
Ephesians 6:10-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Satan is a created being and is no different than the angels in heaven. Satan has many tactics that he uses on the children of God on a daily basis. The thief has come to steal, kill and destroy. The thief is the devil and the wicked spirits that serve him. Their are enough to spread across the world. The devil does not have free rein of a christian because we are protected by the shield of God. John 10:10, 2 Cor 2:11, Eph 6:16, 1 Peter 5:8 We truly have an enemy and we can not stand in the flesh to fight him. It takes something greater than the flesh to fight him because he is in the sprint therefore must be fought in the spirit. He is not omnipresent but has many demons that do his handy-work. This world currently is the devils domain until Jesus comes back. The very thing that we live in, the flesh, wants to live in the world because of it’s lust. Nothing has changed since Adam and Eve because he is still deceiving and lying to people everyday. What a terrifying thing to be able to see with our eyes the spiritual warfare that goes on all around us. If we are saved then we are protected by Gods great hand and satan can not get to us unless God allows it. When Jesus died, He died for ALL but many will not submit to Him. If you’re playing with the devil he will take you further than you ever thought you would go quicker than you ever thought. When you light a match and place that flame under your hand, you will pull your hand back because there is a nerve that warns you of danger. Just as that nerve warns you, God also warns you of the dangers of the devil. Satan wants to destroy your testimony if you’re saved. Satan will use anything he can to tear you down. He will use religion itself to bring you down. If you are saved then you’re going to heaven but that doesn’t mean that if you play with the devil that he will keep people around you lost and going into hell. We hear it everyday, pastors having affairs because satan laid a woman in their lives. We as humans are ignorant to satan’s lies and deceptions.

Privileged Beyond... (Part 3)
1 John 3:1-2 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We have been made His children. To understand that we must go back to know where we've come from. Have you ever thought about the love of God that would cause Him to love us? What does it mean to live without God? Think about how it would be to grow up with no parent that loved you. What if you were a child of an earthly king? Think about an orphan child and how they want to be loved. They do not want toys or other earthly wants. They simply want parents that love them like their own. Gal 4:4-5 Only thru the blood of Jesus Christ is how one can be adopted by God. A Jew lives for their birthright tying to make sure they can be traced back to Abraham. Your linage will not get you to heaven or make you any closer to God. Many orphans of this world can't wait to be out on their own but, they always have it in the back of their mind that they were never loved. Romans 8:14-15 The adoption paperwork once signed is sealed and can never be changed. Gal 4:7; Rom 8:17 Not only do we have the Spirit to prove to us but we are heirs. Have you even considered where you were when He came to you and asked you to become His child? What could be the reason that God would adopt us? What's your purpose? Why are you here? Phil 2:13-15 The purpose is that we are to bare much fruit for Christ. We are to shine in this dark time that we live in. We've been called out from amongst the darkness and into the light.

Privileged Beyond... (Part 1)
Hebrews 10:19-21 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
One of the greatest privileges of being a Christian is that we can come before Him. Many others have idols they bow down to but they are only idols and nothing more. Prior to the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ, animals were given as a blood sacrifice and only the priest could go before God in the temple. After Christ gave His life for our sins as the ultimate sacrifice then we can now go before God boldly. When the veil was opened not only did it allow anyone to look in and walk around, it opened the door for God to be let for the rest of the world, everyone. God was preparing a new way for sinners to be saved and when Jesus was crucified the new way was complete. It's difficult to explain how God presence can engulf a believer in any place at any time. It's hard to comprehend that God is always around and is always in our presence. Our first privilege is that God would allows us to be in His presence. God sent Himself as a man to earth to live as a man, feel pain as a man, die as a man and to take upon Himself every sin that would ever be committed. The difference between God and all of those other gods is that God is alive. Our other privilege as a Christian is that we have a mediator that is always there and does not require a blood sacrifice each time we go to the God.

Take a Stand
Daniel 1:1-21 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Some people give their lives to their country to protect and provide freedom for their country. Spouses give to each other because of a union and of love. Most today are so confusing because they change and go back and forth on their stance of certain issues. Most are distracted by the ordinary and they lose the purpose. If one says they have to do something it's usually because of our own selfish desires. We must allow God to use us as an empty vessel. Is there not a cause, a purpose? Sacrifice, it's a cost that's involved when commitment is made. When one takes a stand for God, they are not alone. When it comes to the children of God there should be a difference between the rest of the world. We must make up our minds on which side we are going to stand on. We as Christians need to band together and fight for the common cause. Look deep inside yourself and ask the question why you either serve God entirely or on occasion. It's hard to get people to commit because most have their own agenda. What keeps you from getting closer to God? Whatever it is, it's a god and needs to be removed. Most church members rely on a handful of others to bring God to church for them. One must know the Word of God and be anchored in it. If God be for you, who could be against you? God is in full control and holds everything in His hands. If God is in full control then why do we doubt His commands? Will you take a stand on God beside yourself?

God Is Faithful
1 Corinthians 10:13 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The life of Job still takes place to this day. People lose their finances, loved ones, personal belongings, etc. Those things that we lose are all worldly things that we should never put above God in our lives. Everyone is tested, everyone is put through trials. God is God in the good and He's God in the bad. What anchors you to this world? A husband would lay his life down to protect his wife but he can not allow his love for his wife be more that his love for God. Grief is real and you must pray with it but time will take the grief away. Whatever your concern is rest assured God has already been there and has defeated it, claim it. Regardless of the trial in your life, God is faithful. Being faithful means everything He has promised He will keep. God has never failed anyone. There's not a single person that wants to go through heartache but the heartache is what grows us. When you're going through a test God has put you into a controlled environment. When it gets to the point that you feel like you can't bare anymore, He gives you strength to pass the test. If He doesn't give you strength then He will provide a way out. Romans 8:28
