The Love That Compels
2 Corinthians 5:11-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
It's the love of Christ that has changed those that are Christians. There are many that are not one of His which causes a lot of confusion amongst people however, in the end of time God will separate those from His.

The love of Christ should be what motivates us. People wonder what makes Christians do what they do but it's the love of Christ. There are many that claim their works are for Christ but many of them will be turned away at their death. One thing is that we are to love our neighbors. It makes no difference about what they may have done to you because we are to forgive them. When we try to do things on our own we will run out of fuel at some point because it's us doing it not Christ. The love of Christ will cause one to move across country simply to love on someone.we had nothing to do with Christ's love. He came first to love us first.

One can't love or know what love truly is until they've been born again. A Christian doesn't work for Christ because we want to or out of duty but because He compels us to love. Christ gave ALL He had, He gave His life. He did this because He loved you and yet most still feel He still owes us something else.

Preached by Tommy Boring on October 25, 2017 (Wednesday).
It's About Love
1 Corinthians 13:13 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
At times we feel as if we are at a crossroads, a place where we could go in different directions. This building was placed here in our community on purpose and not by mistake. God has purposes that go beyond our flesh, thoughts. So as a body of believers in our church what is something we could all grab onto? Love. Love must be at the root of all we do. Faith and Hope will all end one day but Love will go on forever. In this life we must have faith and hope but love is greater than either one. The origin of love is God Himself. Love is powerful! It was the Love of God that saved our souls. When it comes to the love of God one must give up the flesh. Most are not on the same page with live because they live differently. If one loves themselves more than others, that's a problem. The gospel is all about love. We should go out and seek others because we love them and God loves them.
Preached by Tommy Boring on January 15, 2017 (Sunday Morning).
Be a Spongebob
1 Corinthians 13:1-13 (Part of the Communion Services series).
If you're born again, you're seeking a city called Heaven. Those that are born again will testify about the goodness that God has performed for them. We should all come to Jesus as a little child, humbled before God. God takes care of His children just as a parent takes care of their children. The children should grow in the spirit of God because they need strength to put away the devil. If you're waiting until you get old, get sick or after you've "lived your life", you're waiting and gambling with your eternal life. No person knows when they will die. Soak up as much of Jesus as you can in your Christian life. Whether you're young and saved or old, soak up Jesus. Allow God to be your teacher and learn as much as you can. Once you learn something, let others know. Share your faith with others as you grow. Be an example. If you're born again, live your salvation and not a backslid life. You have a responsibility to be an example for Christ and we will be judged for our shared lives.
Preached by Ricky Boring on June 5, 2016 (Communion).
Give It All You Got! (Part 3)
2 Peter 1:5-8 (Part of the 2 Peter 1 series).
The foundation must be established in Jesus then faith is made. You are to do whatever it is that you are doing with your entire heart and not half heartedly. We are to add to our faith, virtue. Virtue means excellent. If we never had struggles then our inward would have all freedom. God never did anything halfway. We are to add to our virtue, knowledge. You must be teachable. Knowledge can easily be a prideful thing. One can't find diamonds laying on top of the ground. They are made deep down in the earth under great force and pressure. Just as our life, we are to learn with great knowledge, pressure under great diligence. We are to add to our knowledge, temperance. Having temperance means you have self control. Add to your temperance, patience. When one needs patience, one will have troubles. The hardest patience to learn is to not go beyond God, seeking or thinking we know what we need and not what God wants. Add to your patience, godliness. Godliness is the act of doing God like things. Brotherly kindness is to be added to godliness. It is the by product of godliness that makes us love everyone like God loves us. Charity being the last to be added and it is the full love of Christ. When you add to something it just gets bigger and bigger. Just like our Christian walk, we should want to get bigger and bigger in God. There is a reason why God is calling us to do these eight steps. If they are in you and they abound you will never be barren or fruitless. The reason to why you need fruit is because the world is looking for fruit. Have you ever seen a tree struggle to make fruit? It's natural that it produces fruit because it's its nature.
Preached by Tommy Boring on December 6, 2015 (Sunday Evening).
Why Don't You Want To Love?
Isaiah 58:1-14 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Do you attend a church because you've always gone to church? Has it become a tradition? God wants people to have a desire from you to love Him. Serving God is not just something that you do in a church. Do you feel or think that God should be pleased with your worship? We should show compassion to others through love. If you claim to worship inside a church but do not show that outside the church, what are you telling others? We should give up ourselves to others. If you see someone in need, would you help them? We all have the ability to care more than what we do. God did not call you to simply worship Him, He called you to love Him but to help others. Have you ever wondered why God doesn't bless you like you think He should? Stop and consider what you have done for Him. Have you done and given your all and best?
Preached by Lucas Boring on May 25, 2014 (Sunday Morning).
