Kind, Tender-Hearted & Forgive
Ephesians 4:32 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We often overlook how to be kind, tender hearted and to forgive others. It's easy to be kind to those that love you. We've all got a sin so shameful in the eyes of God. There was once a woman that was caught red handed sinning and was brought before Jesus. She just as us have a sin and if we were in that day we would have been brought to Jesus just as she was. She knew her guilt and so did everyone else there including Jesus. The people that brought her before Jesus only wanted to point out the woman's faults forgetting about the man she was with or even themselves. We must be careful about who or what we blame when looking at others. We must be about Jesus business and not of ours. In the case of this woman, the people tried to use the Word of God against the Word of God. But Jesus knew just how to handle their problems. A lot of Christians walk around with rocks and stones just waiting to throw them at someone they've caught sinning. A sinner doesn't need an accuser but a kind, tender hearted, forgiving person. Ephesians 4:32 He has called you out to be these things all around you.
Preached by Tommy Boring on May 28, 2017 (Sunday Evening).
A Secret Disciple
John 19:38-42 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
What it means to be a secret disciple of Jesus Christ. There are a lot of people that try to establish what that means abut Jesus declared what it was so therefore what you think doesn't matter. Once you become born again there is a change that takes place on the inside. There were two men at the tomb of Jesus, Joseph of Arimathaea. This man was a secret disciple of Christ because he was afraid of the Jews but yet believed in Him. The other was Nicodemus which the same man that Jesus spoke with secretly about being born again John 3. But the second time we see Nicodemus was not at night but during the day. There are two things that changed these men and that was the cross, the death of Jesus. Jesus isn't after your flesh to save but after your eternal soul. So where we're did these men obtain their courage? Once they realized that Jesus Christ was God incarnated during His crucifixion, that changed everything for them. Joseph's tomb was cut from solid rock therefore taking a long time and was surely of great value. No one had been buried there prior to Jesus. The Jews wanted guards to makes sure the body went in and the body was to stay put.

God Never Changes
Hebrews 13:7-12 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Leaders are setup today and are gone tomorrow. The same God that saves us is the same God that created the heavens and the earth. He is the same then and is the same today and will be the same tomorrow. In our lives we think we are doing right but in Gods eyes it's completely wrong. We must ask God to forgive us of those wrong doings. People change and our hope should never be in people. We are so invested in the political agenda and self wants. What's important is Gods message being spread to every person. The president won't answer the phone when you need help. God always answers when we call and the truth of it is, He already knows why you're calling. Party names, democrats, republican, liberals, etc. are all names created to separate people. The one name above all that needs answering is, are you a Christian?
Preached by Jeff Patton on January 25, 2017 (Wednesday).
Changers
Acts 10:1-22 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We must have confidence in God but in order to do that we must change. Everyone wants to go to heaven but in order to do that we must be changed. We often go out and look at others and think that God would have a hard time saving them. The first thing that will help us to change is to pray. Get and make a private time that's between you and God and nothing else. We must also not look to ourselves in doing all the work. The work can only be done when we allow God to do the work and not ourselves. We have the Word which is God if we are saved to share to the lost but, we can only share it when we are in the shape to share it. There will always be someone around you that will not make a decision to follow God but, don't let them discourage you. We are currently living in a grace period where God loves us beyond our sins but, soon the grace will leave us when Jesus comes back. God doesn't look upon us currently and judge our sins. One sin is just as much as a million sins no matter the humanly made level. We must always know that nothing is higher than Jesus. Cancer is lower than Jesus. Habitual sin is lower than Jesus. Worldly things are lower than Jesus. The president is lower than Jesus. Jesus is reclusive as He is the only way into heaven. There are many religions in the world and most are based on works but all are lies from Satan unless Jesus Christ is the only way to Salvation. Often we like to embellish what God has spoken to us only to add lies to His Word. This is a sin and should never take place. Stick to the truth, Gods Word and do not change or add to His Word.
Preached by Steve Howard on December 28, 2016 (Wednesday).
Do You Want It?
John 5:1-8 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
It's unknown how God works amongst each of us. We can't tell whether there is a conviction or not because it's normally internal. But in any time when the Word of God is given, it's for someone in order for them to grow. If you've not been born again then you have an incurable disease. The church of Jesus Christ is the today's Bethesda. Politics is not going to save a person and if they are within a church and rule it, it's not longer a help. If you've tried what seems like everything and still are at a loss, try a true house of mercy. Not only is the house of God a house of mercy, it's also a house of misery. There is not a single person in a church that can judge another because they have been just as sinner as the next. It's also a house of hope for the hopeless. Do you feel as if God doesn't care for you? Christ died for you, He hung on a cross and took all of your sins upon Himself just for you. When Jesus comes to the House of God and knocks on someone's heart, He asks them if they want to be saved. All that needs to be done is a response, yes or no. There are people still to this day that don't want to be healed. They use their condition as a crutch to stay miserable. Unfortunately, for those people they will always be miserable until changed. When God changes you everyone will know it. Romans 10:13 Whosever. Do you want to be? Do you want peace?
Preached by Tommy Boring on November 9, 2016 (Wednesday).
