Did God Do It The Right Way? (Part 2 of 2)
Ezekiel 33:10-20 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There have been times when we question God and He always has answers. At times we think they are wrong answers but God knows what's best for us. God has never turned away anyone that has asked for forgiveness. All that God has said is turn from the wicked and follow Him. Your good will never outweigh your bad. God is looking for a humble spirit. If one would just surrender to God and repent, He will never look at those sins ever again. No one can be saved on their own. It must be through Gods grace and His grace alone that one is saved. If you do not turn from your sins and repent, you will die.
Preached by Tommy Boring on June 11, 2014 (Wednesday).
Why Don't You Want To Love?
Isaiah 58:1-14 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Do you attend a church because you've always gone to church? Has it become a tradition? God wants people to have a desire from you to love Him. Serving God is not just something that you do in a church. Do you feel or think that God should be pleased with your worship? We should show compassion to others through love. If you claim to worship inside a church but do not show that outside the church, what are you telling others? We should give up ourselves to others. If you see someone in need, would you help them? We all have the ability to care more than what we do. God did not call you to simply worship Him, He called you to love Him but to help others. Have you ever wondered why God doesn't bless you like you think He should? Stop and consider what you have done for Him. Have you done and given your all and best?
Preached by Lucas Boring on May 25, 2014 (Sunday Morning).
Knowing The Difference
Romans 6:23 (Part of the Revival 2013 series).
We normally don't go to the king with our problems. If we want a true revival, we must first look in the mirror. The Lord didn't save you to be a halfway Christian. He gave you everything He had. We sometimes live what we are not. There is no big or little sin. Stop compromising with sin. The reason we lack confidence is because we lack prayer. Satan wants to be careless with your life. People think they have something when in reality, they have nothing. Don't put your life/salvation on hold when God is calling your name.
Preached by Jeremy McNally on June 17, 2013 (Revival).
The Tree And The Treasure
Luke 6:43-45 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Only God can judge a man. If you're saved there should be evidence of that. If your life is of a sinner then a sinner is what you will reap. Does religion get you down, stop putting your hope in it. God wants people that can bare good fruit. If you're not paying attention the devil will come in and put holes in your testimony. If you are worried about trying to live a certain way, you need to be saved. If you're lost you're lost. You can not produce anything good from a sinful nature. Just because the fruit looks good doesn't mean it's Godly fruit. If you're saved and are saying you can't, stop denying the power of God. A lost man can not produce fruit of that of a saved person. If you are lost, you can never be good until you are saved and God makes you good. The second you've put "I" and "good" in the same sentence, you've messed up. All one has to do to be saved is to accept His treasure. God will put His treasure deep inside your soul and nothing can get to it.
Preached by Tommy Boring on March 3, 2013 (Sunday Morning).
How Will You Escape?
Hebrews 2:1-4 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We always look back and get great lessons from our past. There have been times in our lives where we thought we were sinking but looking back God brought us right back up. The world may have written the Ten Commandments out but they are still God's laws. You may think that if no one knows about your sin then you're alright, but God knows all of your sins and you will answer for them all. You can't play games with God, He always wins. If you have not accepted God as your savior then you are already going to hell.
Preached by Tommy Boring on February 3, 2013 (Sunday Morning).
