Made Ready
Mark 14:12-15 (Part of the Communion Services series).
All we had to do is to accept Him into our hearts. He made us ready. There is a great blessing to look back and remember those that have gone on and how they stood for God. A lot of people haven't dug down into solid the Rock and therefore are being washed away. The devil will pull the weak Christians away from God. We need to be humble before God and others. We are to love each other great and small. There are still people in this world that do not believe that there is a God. There are a lot of good people in this world that would do anything for another but do not know Christ. God loves all of us because He created us in His own image. Back in the old testaments a blood sacrifices had to be made for the forgiveness of ones sins. Jesus then came to fulfill the sacrifices for ALL by giving His blood. Jesus' for message was simply, repent, but since that time there has been so many messages preached that everyone in the world should be saved. What does it take to be saved, ready? It takes the same thing for everyone. It takes you to be ready, willing to open your heart and accept Jesus.
Preached by Ricky Boring on June 7, 2014 (Communion).
Is Your Damper Open?
Jeremiah 20:9 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE TECHNICAL PROBLEMS. We need a fire come over us. We need to turn loose of the Spirit of God more often. When the church catches fire with the Spirit then the community will catch fire. Don't quench the fire, let a little air get to it and let it blaze. Sometimes the fire will get small and just flicker, but let God blow on it and it will flame up. Don't be ashamed of the Spirit of God. We've let the things of the world to come in to our lives to choke the fire out. When we baptize we put them all the way under the water. When God saves us, He makes sure that we are saved completely. There is not a thing that God can't do. God doesn't us to be bound by the world, He wants our fire to blaze for Him. He doesn't want us to live for our flesh. If you sit down on God, no matter where you sit you will not be comfortable. God didn't baptize you just to stay warm. What the world wants you to believe that there is a set time on how long one can serve God. Claim Gods promises and not your situation. When you've lost all hope, God usually shows up. The fire that God puts inside a saved should never be quenched or become ashes. The closer you get to God, the hotter you will become.
Preached by Tommy Boring on December 15, 2013 (Sunday Evening).
The Ultimate Thirst Quencher
Isaiah 55:1-3 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Don't we as people get burdened down with the things of this life? The more that you love something, the more that you'll want to spend time with that thing. In order to be thirsty, effort must be made. God isn't looking for your money. God isn't looking for your talents or the lack of. If you are born again, you will always have a thirst for God. We spend a lot of time and money on things of this world that doesn't bring satisfaction to the soul. God will not reward you for where you worked in your life. If you divide your love with things and God, you're committing adultery. Don't give God your leftovers.
Preached by Tommy Boring on May 26, 2013 (Sunday Morning).
What Does Jesus Mean To You?
