Weapons In The War
2 Corinthians 10:1-5 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
A stronghold is something that has a hold of one that is strong. Addictions, fear, doubt and a lack of faith are all strongholds. Jesus can help you only if you let Him. Some say that we use Jesus as a crutch but the truth is, we should. We should depend on Him with anything and everything from the largest to the smallest things in life. Now we as humans do not have the ability to break a stronghold but we know the one that can.

The war against the strongholds are not and will not be the carnal objects. Most that want help want it instantly which they will turn to drugs, medication and alcohol. The carnal objects are temporary just covering up the strongholds. So how do we fight against the strongholds?

Eph 6:14-17 these items are spiritual items, they can't be physically seen.

If you want out of the stronghold then ask God to have it removed but you must be ready AND willing. If we believe that God can remove the strongholds then why are they still in our lives? Because we think we can fix it ourselves. One problem is that non-spiritual people are thinking they can be cured of their stronghold thru God. The unsaved can't speak spiritually because they do not have the spirit of God in them. Now if you're born again then you have a power within you that is able to remove the strongholds. The second problem is that the saved try to fix it with fleshly fixes. The saved should be praying for the strongholds to be removed from others lives. If you're one of the ones that try to fix the problems yourself then you'll walk around worrying yourself to a literal death.

1 Thessalonians 5:12-28 (Part of the The Need For Christian Duties series).
In order to perform the Christian duties, one must be sanctified. Many will think they are doing His will but in their end, God will tell them that He never knew them.

Sanctified means, set apart. More importantly, separated from evil. The question is not about what's on the inside for if you've been saved, God dwells within. The truth is, is that the outside is flesh and it fails daily will always fail until it's made into a heavenly body.

2 Cor 6:17, a Christian should be different than the world. Heb 10:14, for a Christian the inside (soul) is what's made new, the outside remains the same. The outward is a constant battle to bring under subjection. 2 Tim 1:12, we as Christians can not keep our salvation because it wasn't us that saved us. Once we are saved, we are always saved. We as humans have plaques that trouble the flesh. Lusts of the flesh cause us as humans to fall short of His perfectness. However, we must repent of our sins when the sins are realized and pointed out by God. God has never made a mistake therefore when He saved you, it wasn't a mistake and He will not take it back. Gods word has not changed and will not change.

We should remove ourselves from the worldly things. Most don't like to step away because it sets the up to be ridiculed. How is anyone to know that a Christian is a Christian if they do the same things as a lost person? There's a lot of Christians that want to get better. The reason is because they want to bless God, He's worth it! But, serving God brings forth works and that's what the world will see. Now salvation is NOT about works, works is the result of salvation.

Titus 3:8, sanctification and works are linked because you can't have works from God until you've been sanctified. We as Christian should follow, obey and serve Him because we are in a great debt because God has paid for our sins. Please stop and make sure you're not going along with the crowd. Did you know that someone is ALWAYS watching you? Heb 10:24, you won't find a lot of talk about works in a Baptist church because it's easily confused for non believers. Just as its been said, works are the result of salvation. Works without salvation is just work and will not be recognized by Christ as works for Him in the end. Christians can't do the work of God on their own. In order to make Holy fruit, it has to start with something Holy.

Are you saved? One can't move to the next step unless they've been saved. Check your heart, have you been saved?

Are You Blessed?
Psalm 84:1-5 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There should be something that fuels a child of God. Where is your strength? We as humans have no strength without God.

How many people want to be blessed? In these verses it refers to man which means mankind. These are grace given blessings because we didn't ask for them.

Psalm 84:5 it's not about us but all about Him.
Psalm 65:4 if you're saved then you've been chosen.
Psalm 32:2 the saved have been forgiven.
Psalm 94:12 the saved are loved thru chastening.

The following are obedience based blessings.

Psalm 34:8 we should trust in God, always. Sometimes you're gonna have to take a stand for Christ. Prov 3:5
Psalm 112:1 the word of God will bless you but you MUST study it and take it in. Wisdom is obtained by fearing God, not in fright but knowing He controls it all. Just as a child respects their parents, they learn by obedience. If the child has no respect they turn disobedient and rebellious which the outcome will often come with negative consequences.

Faith of a Child
2 Kings 5:1-15 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
People often limit themselves because they feel as if they are unworthy.

We are all the same as we are all sinners. The difference is that if you've been born again then your a sinner saved by grace yet, still a sinner.

God is the same God that He was yesterday for He still hasn't changed. Once you've been born again there should be a burden to tell everyone what God has done for you. The work and sharing of God can sometimes be physical or by words it can also be by living it day in and out. We should all want to be changed and want to receive a double portion of His love everyday.

Don't we want something for our people? The devil is doing his very best to destroy them all. We all need a double portion, a filling up of Gods love and power to do His will. In most cases children tend to simply believe things that are told to them. Adults grow to harden their hearts and doubt what they hear and see. This makes it more and more difficult to believe a simple message and truth of Jesus to be born again.

The power of God is not in us but in God that dwells in us that are saved. The power of God comes out by obedience. Our faith in God can make a difference because He is limitless. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Who's Side Are You On?
Joshua 2:1-24 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There is a time coming where faith will become real. Being born again is a choice granted by God. When you decide by faith that you want to be saved and God saves you, He makes a promise that He will save your household, however, your household must also make the same choice as you did. Once you're saved you become and influence to the rest of your household. God gave us all a true token to prove that He's coming back and that's His blood and Holy Spirit. Therefore whether you die or Jesus comes back, He will take what is His and if you've got His token, you'll go with Him. Just as Rahab had a Scarlett rope, a thread that would save her life, we as Christians have a scarlet rope that binds us all together and it's the blood of Christ. Josh 6:25 she lost all of her city but she became a part of a much larger family, the family of God. Mat 1:5 the linage of Christ was laid out and most of the time women were never mentioned except here when Rahab is listed as being a direct decedent to Christ. Rahab was the great, great grandmother of King David.
