Knock, Knock
Revelation 3:20 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Those that have been called of God to preach have an obligation to do His work. It's the responsibility and the authority to preach the Word that is NOT watered down. The preacher can not save a person. The church can not save a person. The Word of God should does not go out in void. Not everyone that attends church is going to Heaven. The enemy is always amongst us all and he does whatever he can to distract you from getting close to God. Titus 2:11, Christ goes out to people, it doesn't work the other way around. A false preaching today is that one can simply call on God whenever the time is right. God does not work on your time but His own. There's not a single person that sits and waits everyday for someone to knock. When God comes to your house He will knock because your house is locked. Some people hide when someone comes knocking unexpectedly because they don't want what's being offered. Just as God comes knocking, He will visit unexpectedly and He waits. He doesn't knock and leave or run away. He knocks and patiently waits. Little children when they get saved their doors are usually not as shut, locked and barricaded because they've not been exposed to Satan's lies and deceit. 2 Peter 3:9, God doesn't want anyone to parish. God doesn't force Himself into your house. He will knock, call your name, patiently wait and do anything spiritually possible to get you to invite Him in. Just as anyone visits someone, they will wait for awhile patiently. One doesn't know how long they will wait or if they will ever come back. God does the same thing. He's standing, waiting but He will not stay there forever. Only YOU can open your door. No one else can open your door but you. One will not open the door until they accept the fact that they want Him to come in. When God is invited in He comes in and cleans house. He brings His own things and removes the old stuff. When the king moves in He will bring love, joy, peace, and all of His other furniture. He'll take all of your old dirty stuff and cast it away never to be used again.

It Takes The Blood
1 John 1:7 (Part of the Communion Services series).
Without the shedding of blood there can never be a remission of sin. In the Old Testament it was a rule that no one was to drink blood. Blood is life. Folks want to be talked to nicely, encouraged, strengthened and uplifted when they walk into a church. The Old Testament was a dirty part of the bible that blood was given for sins. Many of animals were sacrificed time and time again as their blood poured out. When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden an animal had to be sacrificed for its skin to cover their nakedness. Cain and Abel brought their sacrifice before God but only Abel was accepted because it was blood and was his best. Noah sacrificed the clean animals just as soon as he walked out onto dry land because he knew they had sinned and also God saved them. Abraham obeyed God and took his son Izaak to be sacrificed. When God knew Abraham was serious he stopped his hand and gave him a ram to be the sacrifice. Moses was told that on a certain day he was to take a perfect lamb, sacrifice it and use its blood to mark those houses that are believers in order to avoid death. Solomon had a 100,000 lambs sacrificed for the dedication of the temple of God. Where is your sacrifice? God has warned us about sin and that something has to die for it to be removed. Then one night the shepards were told that a lamb was born and this spotless lamb would remove ALL the sins of the world forever more. We have the privilege to get on our hands and knees to pray to God just because Jesus was sacrificed for His blood. Before Jesus' ultimate sacrifice, we would not be allowed to do such a thing. Jesus Christ began His blood sacrifice in the garden for when He wept. He then was tortured and beat almost to death. Forced to carry a wooden cross thru town all the while being mocked and spat upon. He was then laid upon a cross and nailed to it and then stripped naked and rose to the sky for everyone to see. As the blood of His body drained out and He died, a soldier took his sword and pierced His side and blood and water flowed out. Once Christ was dead He took His own blood and presented it to His father as a worthy sacrifice for ALL.

Righteousness (Part 2)
Romans 10:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Deut 30 references Rom 10:5. One must complete the law in its entirety. No one has been able to keep the law perfectly therefore we are guilty. The works of the flesh will not be accepted as a payment into Heaven. Jesus Christ would have never been sent as a sacrifice if there was another way into Heaven. Do you think you're a good person? If you're trying to get into Heaven by any other way but by Jesus Christ then you're creating a self righteous religion that will get you into Hell. There is a way that seems right but it WILL lead to death, Hell. How many people go to the doctor if they are well? Likewise, how many people will go to Jesus when everything seems to be going good? Most people judge their relationship with Christ by watching others. If that person lives just as good as they do then everything just be ok.

Perfection is the only thing that will go to Heaven. There is not a single person that has mastered perfection. What makes a person perfect is by accepting Christ as their savior. Who in their right mind would say that they would rather go to Hell than to Heaven? Christ has already done everything He can to allow you to go to Heaven.

So how do you get saved? There is one thing required and that's to believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins, Rom 10:9-10;13.

Wash-Up Before Worship
Leviticus 16:23-25 (Part of the Tabernacle, Covenant and a Priest series).
Before you can worship, you must repent. When you sin against God then you've trespassed against Him therefore you will not feel from Him.

Animals being sacrificed for the sins, blood flowing from the animals where their bodies were drained. God required afterwards that the priest MUST change their clothes and cleanse himself completely. The priest had to do this before he could worship God.

Some people think that sin is glamorous. They live their life as if nothing matters. In the end, their sin will be to their demise. Gal 3:27, Eph 4:22-24, 2 Cor 5:27 one has to repent in order to be one with Christ. Before one can be saved, God has to remove the sins, be forgiven.

Cor 15 there is a day coming that the mortal body will be removed before we can have a heavenly body. A heavenly body where we won't need to rest, feed or take care of any longer.

Most do not like to repent, saying sorry, admitting they've done something wrong. In order to have life with Christ, then you've got to let go of the old and grab the new.

The Mercy Seat of God
Hebrews 9:3-5 (Part of the Tabernacle, Covenant and a Priest series).

Ark of the Covenant

Ark of the Covenant

Inside the Ark

Inside the Ark

The tabernacle and its contents were all directing to something better to come. Don't confuse the burning incense smoke with the mercy seat of God. The burning incense was the prayers of the people interceding to God.

The ark was to contain particular items, a remnant of His promise. It was to be built a particular size and to have a lid, two cherubs and handles in order to carry it. It contained three items, mana. Mana was tried to be stored but it would spoil however this mana was to be stored without it spoiling. Just as today, God has only promised the hour in which you live and nothing more. The also contained a rod, a stick that was cut from a tree. This stick was dead but God made it to bloom showing that He could make something dead to be raised to life. A miracle that only God can perform. Christ has come to save us all from an eternity of death. The third and final item was the Ten Commandments, the Word of God.

Some people believe that if they found the Ark then they would have all the power in the world. However, the Ark is of no more once Jesus made a new way. Crossing the Jordan, the Ark held the water back. Marching around the walls of Jericho the Ark was there and thru the power of the Ark, the walls fell. At one point the Philistines stole the Ark and placed it in their "god's" temple but the next day the Ark destroyed their god. People could not touch the Ark just in the story of when the Ark was about to fall and someone stopped it by touching it and they were slain dead. Even though there was power in the Ark of the Covenant, there is much more power in God's Word, the bible. The bible contains all of the promises of God and His eternal life.

So what's so important about the box, the Ark? We know it's about the covenant or His promise but what else? It's His mercy seat, it's all about mercy. God provides mercy in that very time of need that we ALL can go to Him with our needs of mercy. Romans 3:23 God didn't owe us anything for we had no right to God. But, He has called to us because He loves us.
