The Wiles of the Devil
Ephesians 6:10-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Satan is a created being and is no different than the angels in heaven. Satan has many tactics that he uses on the children of God on a daily basis. The thief has come to steal, kill and destroy. The thief is the devil and the wicked spirits that serve him. Their are enough to spread across the world. The devil does not have free rein of a christian because we are protected by the shield of God. John 10:10, 2 Cor 2:11, Eph 6:16, 1 Peter 5:8 We truly have an enemy and we can not stand in the flesh to fight him. It takes something greater than the flesh to fight him because he is in the sprint therefore must be fought in the spirit. He is not omnipresent but has many demons that do his handy-work. This world currently is the devils domain until Jesus comes back. The very thing that we live in, the flesh, wants to live in the world because of it’s lust. Nothing has changed since Adam and Eve because he is still deceiving and lying to people everyday. What a terrifying thing to be able to see with our eyes the spiritual warfare that goes on all around us. If we are saved then we are protected by Gods great hand and satan can not get to us unless God allows it. When Jesus died, He died for ALL but many will not submit to Him. If you’re playing with the devil he will take you further than you ever thought you would go quicker than you ever thought. When you light a match and place that flame under your hand, you will pull your hand back because there is a nerve that warns you of danger. Just as that nerve warns you, God also warns you of the dangers of the devil. Satan wants to destroy your testimony if you’re saved. Satan will use anything he can to tear you down. He will use religion itself to bring you down. If you are saved then you’re going to heaven but that doesn’t mean that if you play with the devil that he will keep people around you lost and going into hell. We hear it everyday, pastors having affairs because satan laid a woman in their lives. We as humans are ignorant to satan’s lies and deceptions.

Up in Elim and Down in Marah
Exodus 15:22-27 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
When you are first born again you'll quickly find that your life is free but soon thereafter you find that the world is upon you. When we have an unforgiving spirit our focus is no longer on Him but on ourselves. One can't grow in Christ if your drinking bitter water. Gods grace is just as good for you as it is for your enemy. Do you want living water to drink? Just ask for it. Whatever you're facing in your life God is your saving grace. It doesn't matter about the drought that the world might be in spiritually, our God has an unending supply of living water. We need to stop murmuring and remember that God can supply us with life. Stop crying to each other and your pains and troubles, cry out unto the Lord. Humans need water in order live and just as the human, Christians live the Living Water to survive. If you're bitter with someone and think they don't deserve it, all you're doing is creating a gap between you and God. Love on each other as Christ loves us. Romans 7:18-21 - do you think that once you get saved everything is gonna be alright in you're life? No, it's our job as older Christians to uplift the newborn Christians because just as soon as your saved the devil will present them with bitter water. So why don't you enjoy your Christian life anymore? Because it's you and your walk with Christ being week and drinking the bitter waters. Call out to Christ to give you His Living Water.

Who is Wise in God?
James 3:13-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
We should be careful that it's not about pride. In order to be taught, you must be teachable. You must forget about what people have said and get back to the Word of God. The Word of God is what will judge and teach, not what our forefathers set forth or said. A lot of people excuse themselves by not opening the bible. We should study to prove ourselves. If you asked someone a legitimate question they will try to give you an honest answer. Sometimes it's days if not weeks before we will pick up our bibles. Just because you read it doesn't mean that you've studied it. The bible isn't a dead word so it never gets old, it's a living word. One can't retire from God. It thrills God to get you smart in the Word. Sunday school is a must because we study the scripture. You need Jesus Christ as a tutor in your life daily. You can identify a wise man by his words. Conversation of God will make you a wise person. Just like their conversation, their works should back it up. If you can't walk it, don't talk it. If your works don't match your words then your neighbor will see a hypocrite. Where is righteousness found? The bible. Good conversation and good works will usually bring forth pride. Pride comes before a fall. Your good words from God and your good works from God will bring forth wisdom as long as you keep it in your heart and not your mind. A wise person is full of love and what is love? Jesus. If you're holding envy and strife in your heart then you are of the world and not of God. A Godly wisdom is pure, peaceable, gentle, easy to be persuaded by Gods Word, full of mercy and good works, without suspicion and is without hypocrisy. James 1:5 If you want wisdom, ask God for it without doubt and it will be given.

The Perfect Love of God
1 John 4:16-21 (Part of the Does He Abide Within? series).
Do you truly recognize Gods amazing love? We are to love everyone, often times this is easier said than done. Some people are teetering on whether to trust and love God or not. It took a lot of love to be hung on the cross all the while naked and exposed as those that hated spat and cursed Him. There is more than saying you love someone. Love should always cost you something. There are times when the enemy will come against you and will sometimes use those that we love.  But there is something that is greater in those that are saved than the enemy that is in the world. If the love of God has been perfected in you then you will not fear the judgement day. There is a day coming when Jesus will come back and if you are lost you should have a fear like no other. Are you sure that you can have boldness or confidence when the judgment day comes? How do you know you've been saved; when you love the brother. How can you hate your neighbor and love God? Do you have a grudge or have bitterness towards someone? When you stand before God in judgement, it will not be because of your works.

A Moment in Time
John 13:1 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Mark 14:35 Luke 22:53 Matthew 26:45 Matthew 26:55 Mark 15:33-34 Their hour. In these scriptures we believe that an hour is referring to an actual hour of darkness. John 4:23 John 5:25 John 5:28 John 8:20 John 11:27 John 16:22 John 13:1 John 17:21 His hour. The world will have its hour but God WILL have His hour. God won the victory over death. The world's hour doesn't have to be your hour. If you've been saved, you have an hour. Matthew 24:42 Matthew 24:44 An hour were those in Christ will pass over into life. We do not know in what hour when Christ will come back. The devil can't hold you down if you are one of His. Don't miss your hour, your moment in time that God is calling you.
