Being an Eyewitness (Part 6)
2 Peter 1:16-21 (Part of the 2 Peter 1 series).
Everyone has opinions but when it come to God's, ours simply do not matter. Some of us had great examples of what a Christian was to be but that doesn't mean they were gospel. Just because the preacher says it doesn't mean it's the truth. Only the gospel, the Word of God is the truth. In biblical times there were eyewitnesses that seen Jesus perform. Today we only have God's spirit that lives inside us that bares witness. One can only speak about their own experience with Christ. One does not know another's experience or if there ever was one. The one thing that a saved person can not do is to deny Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is not just a fable or a story that's shared, it the gospel and it's the only way that you can be saved. If you are not positive that a pastor is not saved, you better find another one. If they are not saved how can they know what they are preaching? Just because a person has the worldly teaching or a degree doesn't mean they have been saved by God. The bible is not simply a letter or a newspaper, it's a living, breathing, book of life. How is the Word of God meaningful to you? Because God has declared us all a sinner and a sinner will live eternally in hell unless they are saved. In the last days people will want teachers to simply entertainment them, not wanting to be told they are wrong.

Court is in Session
1 John 2:1-2 (Part of the Does He Abide Within? series).
There is a difference between knowing God and knowing god. There is no need for a courtroom until there is a law breaker, a criminal, a sinner. There are two kinds of sinners, you're either saved or lost. For those that are the saved sinners, we are to not to sin. We are to be holy as Jesus is holy. You have been called from sin, away from sin. But even though we've been saved and called from sin, we all sin daily. The problem with most of us is that we are prideful and think we can handle on our own. We all have an appointment with the judge at some point. God is the judge of all things and we are to go before Him with boldness. How do you go before God with boldness? First He is our Father and second He loves us. We are judged in the courtroom of Grace. There is and will never be a judge on this earth that is anything like God. God knows already what we have done and knows how guilty we are of sin. The lawyer being Jesus knows our condition. Jesus can no plea your case because we are guilty of sin no matter how good we are. Jesus will plea His case and how He took our sin away if we believed in Him and was saved. In the end the judge will cast His judgement, if you are lost He will canst you into hell to live/die forever. If you've been born again then He will cast you into Heaven to live in Glory forever with Him.

Desire + Will = ?
John 14:12-16 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There is one thing in a Christians life that can't be done enough and that's prayer. Before one can be born again, one must pray. When we pray, we should pray in Gods will. We should always ask what Gods will is in our lives. We should be willing to do what God tells us to do. Nothing that we do is good unless it's through Gods will. We need more help today than we have ever needed. We need to stop asking God to do them and start asking God what He wants us to do. What is Gods will? 2 Peter 9 His will is to seek those that are lost. God wants our very best and not our leftovers. God asks us to lay down our lives as a living sacrifice. That means we need to give it ALL. We are naked before God. We might be able to hide the sins from our neighbors but God sees each and every sin. John 16:23-24 Do you have joy in your prayer? It's a blessing that we get to go to Gods throne room and ask Him directly for our loved ones. John 15:7-10 We don't have power in our prayers because we choose to do what we want to. John 15:16 We should show fruit of that of a Christian to those around you. What could happen if Gods desire plus Gods will could equal to?
Preached by Jeff Patton on April 23, 2014 (Wednesday).
Do You Know Him?
1 John 1:1-4 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
When you hear from God you will know it. When you see God you will know it. So many have not sold out to God, they live for their pleasure and not Gods. If the story of Christ was fake why does so many die for Him? God is enteral and can be felt from within. When God comes to you and you accept Him you WILL be changed from the inside out. People attend church all the time but have no idea who God is, because they do not know Him. The more mature you become with God, the more you'll find that the other "stuff" doesn't matter. If you don't know God then you can't declare Him.
Preached by Tommy Boring on February 3, 2013 (Sunday Evening).
I Wished He'd Just Die...
Exodus 20:13 (Part of the God's Top Ten series).
What does shall not kill mean? Murder of a human life. What does shall not kill not mean? It has nothing to do with war, self defense, capital punishment. What does shall not kill also mean? Suicide, euthanasia, abortion and the thought.
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 23, 2012 (Sunday Morning).
