How To Be Happy
Psalm 1:1-6 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
What's going on in our world right now? Just a few years ago folks loved to worship God and couldn't wait to worship God and depending on God for everything. The devil has come to steal, kill and destroy. For all of us there is two parts to us, a flesh and a spiritual. Blessed is the man that doesn't walk with the world. Satan doesn't want us to tell anyone about the goodness of God or invite folks or even yourself to church. So how can a man or woman be happy? There is only one thing that can make one happy. Which would you rather have, something that's temporary or something that's eternal?
  • To truly be happy you must be born again. You must personally know Jesus Christ.
  • A prayer life is the next thing to have happiness. If you have a prayer life you can stay close to God.
  • Stay in your bible, make a set time to read His word. It will help you stand when you can't stand on your own.
  • You must also be a committed Christian. You should be committed to God, your church membership and your fellow Christian brothers and sisters.
  • One should also be assured in Jesus Christ and His word. The time is fast approaching to His second coming. The signs are right in front of us and are taking place every second, everyday.
  • We must believe the Word. Just because the pastor says it doesn't mean it's the gospel. The pastor is just as human s the next and we should know the bible and its life and not the pastors or anyone else's.

Spirit of Adoption
Romans 8:14-17 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
What a joy to call God, father. In order to call Him father you must first be of His family. The Spirit of God will guide one through truth and righteousness. Just as soon as you're saved the Holy Spirit is with you. Are you following the Spirit of God not with your wisdom or intellect. God does not push you or make you do something, it's all by choice whether you will follow Him or not. You just allow God to work in you and follow Him through obedience. We all have an adversary that wants to kill, steal and destroy us. What is the spirit of bondage? Instead of thinking of something bad, think of God. The fear during Moses time to obey the rules kept many separated from God. Gal 3:24 But the New Testament brought Jesus that when one is saved the rules are written upon our hearts. The spirit of bondage is our earthly being but the Spirit of adoption is salvation, being born again. John 8:36, 1 John 4:18 Some will say that they are not scared of anything but those fears are earthly usually. If one is born again, transfer or give God that fear because we are not born into fear being saved. The sprint of the law is about fear but the Sprint of adoption is about grace. Romans 8:9 Until your truly born again you will question and doubt your salvation because the Spirit of God has not move in to your soul. Ephesians 1:13-14 Adoptions are not official until the judge signs the paperwork. Once they are signed that child is the adopted parents forever just like they were the birth parents. Just like earthly adoptions, being saved is just the same. Jesus comes to us to adopt us, once we accept Him, God signs the paperwork forever sealing our adoption forever more.

God Is Faithful
1 Corinthians 10:13 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The life of Job still takes place to this day. People lose their finances, loved ones, personal belongings, etc. Those things that we lose are all worldly things that we should never put above God in our lives. Everyone is tested, everyone is put through trials. God is God in the good and He's God in the bad. What anchors you to this world? A husband would lay his life down to protect his wife but he can not allow his love for his wife be more that his love for God. Grief is real and you must pray with it but time will take the grief away. Whatever your concern is rest assured God has already been there and has defeated it, claim it. Regardless of the trial in your life, God is faithful. Being faithful means everything He has promised He will keep. God has never failed anyone. There's not a single person that wants to go through heartache but the heartache is what grows us. When you're going through a test God has put you into a controlled environment. When it gets to the point that you feel like you can't bare anymore, He gives you strength to pass the test. If He doesn't give you strength then He will provide a way out. Romans 8:28

Do You Have Hope?
2 Corinthians 5:1-2 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
If you're a Christian there is a day coming that all the burdens of life will come to an end. There will be no more death, sickness, aches or pains. The world is searching for a remedy to fix the sorrow of the earthly life. Would you know a heavenly built place if you seen it? It's builder is of God where no mans hands have ever touched it. The fact about our flesh is that it will dissolve back to the earth. To most Christians it's the struggles to the end that bothers and stresses. The end of a Christians earthy life is just the beginning of a life of eternity with the savior Jesus Christ. Many of persons have almost went to the edge of life but God spared their lives for His purpose. Others, God has called them out of this world. Do you have hope? Is your hope in this world or is it in the things to come? Do you have a house being prepared in heaven? Is there a dread when you think about death?
