What Do You Do With Christ?
Matthew 11:20-24 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Are you affected by Christ, the Word of God? Do you actively ask folks if they've been saved? Our world that we live in today is just as sinful as it was in Sodom's time. Sin is sin no matter the type whether it be murder, homosexuality or a lie. Conflict is a problem that causes us to see for a remedy or a solution. Make sure you're living your serving God and doing His will. We don't have to be a rich person, works do not help and who you're related to in order to be saved. Never forget who saved you. Never forget where you were pulled from and saved from. We know that the world is quickly falling away from Christ but don't be discouraged. We also know that this has to happen prior to the second coming of Christ. It also means that we as Christians should not stop working for Christ. We should not look at others and feel as if they get away with everything. God will judge them just the same as you. If you think that you are only hurting yourself or its my life, you're wrong. Your body is a temple and God lives inside the temple therefore you're destroying God Himself. Jesus did die for everyone but not for all, only the ones that would accept Him as their personal savior. America today has so many idols that they quickly become bored. Children quickly become bored when they obviously have many, many things to do. Do you feel like you can't share your salvation? That lost person that you hate is so loved by Christ. The least you could do for that person is to share Jesus Christ with them. Jesus is a conflict and always has been.

Into Battle
1 Timothy 6:11-12 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
There isn't a time where we should lay it down and give up. We've been reminded in the past week as the devil has attacked our marriages, homes and our country. If there is a time when we should stand, it would be now. The older one gets, the more they are equipped. How are we to be equipped? If you've been saved, you've been called and equipped to to fight in Gods battle against the devil 2 Tim 2:3-4 When one enters into the Army, they go through boot camp. You'll be taught how to go into battle, never to lay down your weapon, never give up, never turn your back on the enemy. Jesus endured the ultimate battle. How many times do we allow the enemy to trip us up because we laid down? The saved has a small amount of time to do Gods work. We must be engaged in the battle for God 24/7. We, the saved, are the soldiers for God. 1 Peter 5:8 If we are the soldiers, who are the enemies? The devil is a toothless cat that can only roar and can not touch Gods soldiers. The devil only attacks from behind because he is a coward to God and His children. 1 Peter 5:9 We should be steadfast in our faith and resist the devil. The church of the US is spoilt brats because we haven't been persecuted like those in third world countries. Those in other countries must hide in order to read their bibles or face death. Eph 6:12 A lot of times we complain about things that doesn't matter which wastes valuable time. God isn't worried, so why are we? The enemy isn't your neighbor or the lost, it's the devil, a spiritual battle. Wars and battles are being fought spiritually all around us. So that man that bad mouths God, those neighbors that mock you are not the enemy. Stop trying to fight and win those battles that are in the flesh. So who is the captain? Joshua 5:14-15 Nothing and nobody can be worshipped and it be right unless it is God. Heb 2:10 If you're not serving God then you've missed it. Rev 19:11-16 God Himself is coming back and He will fight the last battle Himself. The fight we must fight is the spiritual battle. God has called us to be equipped with the Armor of God and help fight. So who are you serving? How should we fight? Mat 5:44 Love. Luke 6:27-36

What Type of Soldier Are You?
Joshua 6:1-10 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
If you're a child of God, then you're in a battle. Your position might be different than the next. Most here in this country are patriotic and will fight for our freedoms. However, will you fight for God? There are more listeners than doers for God. If you are a preacher then you need to preach what God gives you and not sugar coat it. If our boss or a general tells us to do something we say yes sir or yes ma'am but when God tells us to do something we want to argue and whine about it. If we were getting paid to do Gods work, would you get a pay check at the end of the week? There are three categories of Christians. There are the armed. These are Christians that are on the front line. These carry the sword of the Spirit and are equipped with the armor of God. We as Christians should defend the Word of God in ALL circumstances. We should be equipped for battle through training. We have training sessions each Sunday morning during Sunday school. We also have training during preaching to teach us how to use our equipment, the armor of God. How often do you sit and try to figure out Gods plan? Another group of Christians is the trumpeters. Christians, ministers, preachers that are telling others that God is on His way. Don't stop sending out the Word as messengers. The third type of Christian is the ones that simple march. Marching is not doing anything but it's being obedient. Following the orders, filling in the gaps so there are no place for the devil to break through. Which Christian are you? Are you even in the battle at all?
Preached by Tommy Boring on May 27, 2015 (Wednesday).
Do You Remember When?
(Part of the 220th Original Tennessee Association of Primitive Baptist series).
Preaching and praying are the same when it comes to you can't do it enough. Why are people not coming to church? It's you're fault as a Christian. Are you waiting until the Spirit tells you do talk to someone? I think the Spirit has just went and left you if your waiting on it. We all need a burden. The problem is that we don't have burdens anymore. The devil has whipped the Christians down to nothing. If you let satan he will take everything away from you that helps you grow with Christ. Do you remember when Jesus was born? Do you remember when Jesus Jesus was crucified? Do you remember when Jesus rose from the grave? It doesn't look like we are gaining in the church. The guilt is all on us as Christians for NOT doing His will. Until we as Christians wake up and get concerned in our hearts for the lost, we will never see them saved. If you're a Christian then you MUST love everyone. Why must you love everyone, because HE is love and if you're saved HE lives inside you. When you come to church, go for yourself, prayed up and stop worrying about the folks sitting around you.
Preached by Bo Thomas on October 10, 2014 (Association Evening 2).
Does God Know What You're Going Through?
2 Corinthians 4:7-18 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Everyone will have or has had trouble. Most people struggle because they give in to the lust of the flesh. There are some that simply will not read or study the Word of God. There are people all around you that are in need and struggling. God can not and will not be destroyed. If you are saved, one of His, God will never leave you. He will hold you up, He will carry you when you fall. We have valleys to walk through because He is always building us. Troubles will make you grow stronger. Have you ever asked God why bad things happen? If you don't know why you're going through the valley, don't be in despair. God is not a human that could fail. Being saved means you will be persecuted, but that doesn't mean that God left you out on your own. Did you know that children of God go through more than the lost? Even of one is killed because of the glory of God, death is just the start of your Christian Life. If you knew it could cost you your life or your families life, would you still live for Christ? Don't give up when it gets tough. Knowing that our troubles are just temporary is exclusive to born again Christians.
Preached by Tommy Boring on September 15, 2013 (Sunday Morning).
