By Him
Colossians 1:15-23 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
It’s by you or anything else that you will get to Heaven. It’s only by Him, Jesus Christ. You will either go His way or you won’t go at all. Who is He? He is the image of the invisible God. Jesus didn’t just exist when He was first born unto Mary & Joseph. Jesus was with God in the beginning. Jesus is the reflection of God. When we look at a pool of water we might see the reflection of the moon. It proves that there is a real object. He is the first born of every creature. Everything that is a part of us and everything that we know was started with Jesus. It is by Jesus Christ that we have ALL things. Christ is the creator of the creature. All of these things we know that there had to be a creator. All of these things we see we can’t deny that there was a designer. If Jesus Christ is the creator of all things and He created you, then who do you belong to? We are all accountable to our creator and must yield to Him. In the beginning there was nothing and He created something from nothing. When He created it He called everything good. It wasn’t until humans sinned that it became bad. Not only did He create it but He continues it. So far, everyday the sun rises and the sun sets. At any given point during the day or night we never think about making our hearts to beat, and yet it continues to beat. Grass as simple as it is, He makes it grow. No one planted the grass on the high mountains. No one is watering it or fertilizing it and yet it grows. The church is kept going by Him. He is the head of the body. We are NOT the head, we are the body. No Christ in the church, no power in the church. Christ made the church and put the body together. He has reconciled all things for Himself. Jesus loves us. We are just a part of His creation and yet He chose humans to give a living soul to. Everything that He created fist came from Him. Trees. In order to have a tree one must have a seed. In order to have a seed one must have a tree. Either way, who made the tree or seed? It wasn’t by accident that these things came to be. The gospel is very simple. Believe in Christ and you shall be saved. If you’ve found any other way, you’re lost and going to Hell. The Bible is simple, if it’s wrong, it’s wrong; if it’s right, it’s right. It hasn’t changed nor will it change.

John 3:16-19 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
The word condemnation is the action of condemning someone to a sentence. Now God does not condemn. The sentence of death, condemnation, was given with Adam and Eve. The single most simplest law was not to eat of one single tree. Both Adam and Eve broke this law and therefore were sentenced for being guilty. That condemnation was death. We are already under condemnation due to the sin that we live in. The sin of Adam and Eve was just the first one. Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to save it. Our own sin separates us from Jesus. John 3:17, those that believe in Jesus is saved but those that do not believe are lost, condemned. Many look at religion as a form of condemnation. People do not have to work at condemnation because they were born into it. One must be saved from the condemnation of death. Others get confused with conviction and condemnation. Conviction is when God points out the sin that has been made against God. Conviction is God reminding you that you must live Holy. People are convicted of all kinds of sins. Anything that in violation of God is a sin. Noah God spoke to Noah because God searched all others and their hearts were evil. As we know the story, God told Noah that a flood was coming and he was to prepare. For 120 years Noah invited all those he passed. All of those people ignored Noah and yet God still had grace. God created a way out, a way of escape. Sodom and Gomorrah God told Abraham that he was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham began to pray about saving them and God would come back and say He would save them. God is NOT trying to place condemnation because it’s already been placed. They saved only a few from the destruction but it wasn’t because of not being warned first. 2 Peter 2, God wants the drug addict to be saved. God sent His ONLY son to suffer and be sacrificed because He loved us. God wants each person to be saved from certain death. The condemnation is that light has come into the world, but people love darkness over that light. God will come to you, you can’t just go out and search for Him. He does the inviting, it’s not the other way around with salvation. The law is not the condemnation. It’s only a rule that’s set for our safety. The condemnation is the love of the evil. In the story of the woman that the Pharisees brought before Jesus. This woman clearly broke the law and was guilty beyond guilt. Now Jesus simply proved to them that they ALL were sinners, they’d ALL broke the law. Now if God purpose is to condemn or hate, then why did Jesus not just slaw them all? He proved to them and to her that her own kind were the condemners. Man wants to condemn man and we bring justification for that condemnation. Jesus had every opportunity to say to her that He condemned her but He didn’t do that. He didn’t say that the law was wrong or to do away with the law. On the cross there were 2 thieves. One of them gave Jesus a hard time. The other felt conviction and knew that he deserved what he was getting. He then asked Jesus to remember him on his death. So while Jesus was dying on the cross, He still loved and saved. His last action on earth was to save a man. God does not hate you. He’s trying to save you. When He calls you name, knocks on your hearts door, answer Him. Ask Him to come in. In the end at your death the lost will say amen to their own condemnation. THEIR OWN condemnation, not Gods.

No Matter What!
Romans 8:31-39 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
This world is full of tribulations. Peril is peril, whether it be death, depression, joblessness. No matter what we go thru, God is still in control. If one watches the news it’s really easy to get your mind off of God. Those that are saved, there is nothing to worry about, nothing to fear. So how do we know God is in control? Start in the beginning in Genesis and read to Revelation. It’s full of God saying He’s with us. If we build our house on the rock (born again), then when the storms come He will protect us. The birds do not want for food, the lilies they simply grow and do not worry. If God takes care of them, why wouldn’t He take care of you? Many of times we like to get out in front of God and act like we know what’s going on. Then when things go wild we then look back at God and ask Him, Why? If it wasn’t for the death of Christ and Him rising again then we wasted it all. Now Christ did wonderful things during His life walking on earth but if He didn’t sacrifice himself and rise again then it would’ve been a waste. We the saved WILL face trouble, sickness, death, problems with work, with our money, everything. We are NOT living in our permanent resident down here on earth. Now in Romans. If God is for us then who in this world could be against us. Did you know that it doesn’t matter what you do, you can’t loose your salvation. Nothing can separate you from the love of God! In Romans we see a question and it’s there for a purpose. Ask yourself, what CAN take away the love of God?? Yet another question, If God loved us so much to give us His ONLY son then why do you worry about your life? Now the word, elect it’s talking about God’s chosen people. God chose to die for your sins, He then chose to ask you to be saved. There isn’t anyone that can change that election. God created everything and if He chose to die for you, then who is anyone to say anything differently. It’s by HIS blood that we are able to go into the thrown room of God and bring our problems to Him. Don’t we all have problems and troubles? Take them to the Lord, He told us to! You have one on your side. Don’t ever think that no one is for you! Satan is completely against you and wants you destroyed BUT GOD loves you and wants you to live a life of fullness. God will never leave you or forsake you! What are you facing today? Your problems are not going to be the same as your neighbors. We all go thru our own problems and feelings. But, there is nothing you’re going to go thru that God can’t fix. No matter what you face today, He’s got it. There are many people that are scared. Many people think we should be in a panic but remember, God said not to fear. Those things that are in the world, all they are going to do is cause more problems. The bar, the alcohol, the drugs, the pornography, etc. Those things will only bring more destruction and ultimately lead to death. Whether it’s death of life or death of friends or family. In the story of Jesus in the boat and the storm was raging. They asked him if He didn’t care about them and He did! He cares today! he cared so much that He sacrificed His only son, was beat beyond recognition. Romans 8:38-39 pretty much takes care of anything that can ever come against a person in their lifetime. There is nothing that anyone can door could have done to deserve Gods love. We can go back time and time again to all those, “do you remember when” times and those will continue to happen. But, by putting your faith in Jesus Christ those times are nothing but growth spurts in our life down here.

The Blood That Speaks
Hebrews 12:18-29 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
Now in the law during Moses’ time, the Jews had so many tradition and rituals that had to do in order to be one with Christ. But, when Christ came and died on that cross, those rituals were done away with instantly. Now still to this day folks still get caught up with rituals and traditions. If these things do not line up with God then they are done in waste and are sinful against God. Mt Zion is the city of the living God. It’s a place where folks when they die in Christ go to after death. It’s spiritual place. Mt Sion was the opposite. It was a earthly place where only the law was there. It was dark, it was terrifying. It rumbled and quaked and couldn’t be touched lest the person was killed. The opposite of this Mount was Mt Zion. One couldn’t touch one but Mt Zion touched you. There is a freedom in Mt Zion, whatever bondage you’re in then seek Christ for you’re release. These mountains were describing the law in Abraham's time versus when Christ came to establish the new way. Christ is the new way, a single covenant, a promise and sacrifice. Verse 24 we find two things. God doesn’t change. God is a consuming fire. God is holy and so is His son. The difference between then and now is the mediator, Jesus Christ. It’s a better way. God hadn’t changed. Do you know that you’re in the better way? The second part is the blood. The veil was opened up thru the sacrifice of Gods only son, Jesus Christ. In this day and time especially during this time, folks that are still working from home are meeting abroad. They are doing this thru different mediums to which you have to have the correct credit I also in order to be in that meeting. If you have the incorrect credentials then you’ll not get in. Just as a lost becomes saved, Jesus bled for those sins and creates a unique credential for a meeting. This meeting can only take place thru Him and His father. In the story of Cain and Abel, when Cain killed his brother Abel, Abel’s blood called out to God. Just in today's time, those babies that are being aborted daily, the blood of them are calling out to God just the same. Now the blood of humans call out to God but the blood of Jesus is different. Jesus’ blood was given up as an offering, a sacrifice. His blood was payment for the sinners sins. His blood said mercy for them all. Not a blood that says they require punishment, but of forgiveness. Did you know that the devil has to have permission to get to a saved person? He has to ask God permission before he can ever get to a saved soul, so if he comes around it’s because God allowed it. However, does that ever happen? If you’ve got the blood of Christ applied then the blood cries out that Satan can’t touch you. You have a protection thru the blood of Christ. Not only does the blood speak to God, but it also speaks to the saved. One should humble themselves. Think about Calvary, the suffering of Jesus Christ the Lord. It reminds us of who we are and that we are not longer a creature of the lost but of the forgiveness of the spiritual nature. There is no other sacrifice to be given. The only blood that was good enough Was Christs’. Jesus was born into this world as a human for one purpose only and that was to become a sacrifice for our sins. Nothing else can take away those sins. Do not refuse Christ when He speaks to you. Confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus. What will you do with the message?

Humble, Pray, Seek, and Turn
2 Chronicles 7:12-15 (Part of the Miscellaneous series).
It’s our responsibility as a child of God. We are not doctors, scientist, or anyone else that has book smarts. But we are now hearing that we are to stay home unless we are essentials. We as the children of God have access to one that is far beyond anything that is happening today. Humble Just a few years ago when the war was going on in WWII many of church going people would go into their altars and pray. They would pray for God’s mercy, strength and safety during those times. People were frightened and they knew where to turn in their time of fear. We should be doing the same at this time, seeking Gods face. Once you’re saved, born again, then you become a “people” that have been called by His name. Now the Pharisees walked around with bright clothes with bells and carried themselves with high noses. They were not humble with God or others. We are nothing when we stand before God. We are to judge ourselves and do some soul searching. Be like David and ask God to search your heart and ask God to purge the unclean things. Humble yourselves under God. Pray A lot that we are going to have to do in America. Stop worrying what your going to say or do and ask God to control you. Strip yourselves from all unrighteousness. Once you do the first part of humbling yourself, then you can begin the second step of praying. Too many people trying to ride the fence. They want to skip the first step and go straight to the prayer. A prayer should be prayed until God answers. Why should we pray? Because we are His children and He is our Father. In order to be a child of God you must be born of Him. Seek Daniel prayed 3 times a day, every morning, every noon, and every evening. He would open his windows towards Jerusalem and would pray. If we would seek His face, He will answer. So, how often are you seeking Gods face? How many of the children of God are truly broken hearted? God is trying to get your attention, get and build your altar. How long has it been since you’ve been to your altar or even had your altar. The altar is not for decoration, not for show. Some of the best altars have been at the bottom of an old tree, at the base of a large stone. Is God your help in your very time of need? Where do you think your pastor gets his help? When you call your pastor for help, where did he get that help for you? Turn In this scripture we see that these that were told to turn from their wicked way where the children of God. They were once held under captivity but God saved them and promised them great victory and blessings. If we are saved, born again then we are also the children of God. He has brought us our of bondage thru salvation. Forgiveness of sins is not done by paying a tithe. The doctors and scientist are doing everything they can do right now. Are we as Gods children? The best thing you can do is to pray. No one else can do your praying. You must do it yourself. The Bible teaches that what we as Gods people should go to Him. How many of you are like the little woman with an issue of blood? Done everything you could, spent all of your money, went to all of the doctors, and yet still have a concerning problem? We have the power in the name of Jesus if we meet the 4 criteria’s. Paul was persuaded that NOTHING could separate you from the love of God, for the exception of sin. Sin causes a great gulf between God and His people. The little woman made her way to Jesus. No matter how she got there, she made her way to Him. It doesn’t matter how you get to Jesus, just get to Him. Her faith was that if she could just touch Him, it would heal her. She simply touched a thread of his robe and He knew that she had. He told the crowd that her faith had made her whole. Where is your faith? During WWII people prayed for their loved ones to be protected, bring them home safe. Now ther were some that didn’t come home. That doesn’t mean that God didn’t do what was asked. We live in a country that says we were formed under God but we certainly don’t act like it. Get back to God! Do the 4 steps that He has commanded. Humble, Pray, Seek, and Turn from your sinful way.
