Who Is That God? (Daniel 3:16-18)

Tommy BoringTommy Boring, February 2, 2020
Part of the Miscellaneous series, preached at a Sunday Evening service

God is able to deliver from anything. In this story we see these three mean had already made up their minds on what they were going to do. We are prone to worry and fear those things that we can’t control. Rest assured that when it’s out of our control, it’s always in Gods control.

Pharaoh thought he had Moses and his people but God had other plans. When they came to their brick wall of water, God rolled the water back and they all walked on dry ground, not muddy. Not only did they cross on dry ground but when each and everyone of them were safe, God closed the water back stopping Pharaoh and his army.

Daniel 3:16-18

16Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. 17If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. 18But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
