Work It Out! (Philippians 2:8-13)

Tommy BoringTommy Boring, January 27, 2019
Part of the Miscellaneous series, preached at a Sunday Evening service

Christ is the boss in a Christians life. At the name of Jesus Christ everything will bow and confess that HE IS LORD. Until one understands first that Christ is lord over all you'll never understand the next part. One must work out their own salvation with fear and trembling. No other thing will one answer to but Christ Himself. One can not work to their salvation. Too many people once they hit a road block they just lay it to the side and stop. One can't work out someone else's but only their own. If God has given you 5 things to do, He expects you to work on those 5 things and nothing less and nothing more. If you've been born again then you have at least one talent that should be worked.

Philippians 2:8-13

8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 12Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
