About Tommy Boring: Born in Vero Beach, Florida, Tommy moved to Blount county, Tennessee in 1975 where his family holds deep roots. The oldest of three children, Tommy attended the University of Tennessee and graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration and a Marketing major.
Tommy and his wife Teresa were married at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church June of 1985. His first full-time church ministry was at Meadow Branch Primitive Baptist Church where he served as their pastor for 2 years and 9 months. Tommy and Teresa have 3 sons; Christopher, Justin and Blake.
In October of 1991 Tommy was called as pastor of Edgewood Primitive Baptist Church and stayed until October of 2002 fulfilling God’s call for Edgewood.
Since January 2003, he has been the pastor of NPPBC. His two oldest children are married and live in the Maryville area.

1 Corinthians 9:25

25And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. (KJV)

1 Peter 5:4

4And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. (KJV)

2 Timothy 4:8

8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. (KJV)

James 1:12

12Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. (KJV)

Revelation 4:10-11

10The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, 11Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (KJV)
