J-E-S-U-S (Proverbs 22:1)

Robert BurnsRobert Burns, May 13, 2018
Part of the Miscellaneous series, preached at a Sunday Evening service

Acts 4:10-13
By no other name but by the name of Jesus can one be saved. The pastor didn't save you, he can't.

Mat 1:21-23
Mothers are good and usually great but your momma can't save you. Jesus' own mother, Mary can't save you. Emmanuel, “God with us”. God was always with us up until Adam & Eve sinned in the garden.

Jesus is our savior just as the sweet smell of the altar of incense. Jesus took His blood as a sacrifice to His father for our sins.

John 3:16
He is for Us.

Romans 8:1-11
By the Spirit and Truth can one be saved. We were a born sinner due to the law that was placed upon us when Adam and Eve sinned. The devil has to have a saddle to ride you. That saddle is a stronghold, sin that controls you. Happiness and peace are two different things. Someone could gift you a nice vehicle which would make you happy but peace will not be there. You might have a peace of knowing that vehicle will work but at some point that vehicle will become worrisome.
