Christ is ALL (Colossians 2:6-10, Daniel 7:13-14, Luke 1:31-33)

Tommy BoringTommy Boring, October 29, 2017
Part of the Miscellaneous series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Daniel prophesied that Jesus would come and in Luke the prophecy came true. Mat 28:18 Christ is all powerful and He has been given the power from God. Col 3:10-11 Christ is all in all. Col 1:15-18 Take note of how many times "all" is used. Eph 1:22-23 Christ is all in all and if you do not have Christ then the opposite of all is nothing. In the first chapter of Genesis it plainly states that in the beginning there was nothing but God created ALL things, therefore Christ is over ALL things. Christ alone is God so there can't be any other god. John 17:1-2 He's not only over all things but also all flesh. So is there anything that Christ is NOT over? Does He have power over Satan? God didn't create evil, the being that He created choose to be evil therefore creating evil. God didn't create beings to be mindless but to have the ability to choose. This means that it's either life or death that one must choose from. After death there is a place that everyone will go upon their choice, it's either Heaven or Hell. With Christ it's either all or nothing therefore there is no middle ground. Why does people hate Christianity, because it declares only one way to salvation. Christ even holds the dominion of which Satan will be forever cast by Christ alone. John 5:22-23, Rom 14:8-9 He is a persons all in all. One can't have Christ and yet live for the devil. Christ can't live in ones heart and the heart yearn for worldly, devilish wants.

If you reject Christ, then you've rejected it ALL. When He speaks to your heart then that is the time that you can't be saved. Only Christ can save you. Only Christ can set you free.

Colossians 2:6-10

6As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. 9For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: (KJV)

Daniel 7:13-14

13I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. (KJV)

Luke 1:31-33

31And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (KJV)
