Tearing Down Strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)

Tommy BoringTommy Boring, June 20, 2016
Part of the Red Top Revival 2016 series, preached at a Revival service

Salvation is of God not of man. Pray the need of the heart. Surrender to the purpose of Christ to the cost of His discipleship. Strongholds bind us to the world. The devil will not stop but our God is bigger. Our enemy is not in the flesh but the powers of darkness. Our adversary is hard at work. You must be born again so that we can wage war on the spiritual side. The warfare is in the spirit and we must fight in the spirit. Every time someone is born again is defeat for the devil. In order to fight there are steps that need to be taken.
1. Become spiritual, one has to be saved.
2. Put your weapons, not only do we need protection with the armor of God but we need two things, 1 the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God and 2, prayer.
We need the blinders destroyed. They can't find peace because they don't know the Savior. The enemies purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy. Watch and pray lest you enter into temptation. Strongholds are deceptions of the enemy but through God our weapons are mighty. God wants to tear the walls down for salvation. Unbelief is created by the lies of the devil. God has not lost any power. Strongholds are imaginations and anything thought that tries to exalt itself above God. The power of God is meant to save.
