Ministry of Reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:11-18)Tommy Boring, November 1, 2015
Part of the Miscellaneous series, preached at a Sunday Evening service
The only way to be reconciled is Jesus to sacrifice Himself and for us to accept Him as our savior. Those that live outside of Christ are the enemies. We have the ability to look out amongst our neighbors and have compassion and to love those that are not of God. How can we not care or forgive if we ourselves have been cared for and forgiven? Many things divide us that shouldn't. The problem is not their addictions or sins, it's the fact that the devil has ahold of them thru his stronghold. Christ didn't die for some or a few, He died for ALL that would believe on Him. Living in the ministry of reconciliation means we live in repentance and the care of those that are lost. How many times do we not say anything to those that pass us that are lost? How many times do we allow the devil to control our sharing of Christ? God's love should compel you to put your life on the line to share with others about Christ. To those that hate you, say hurtful things about you, keep in mind that Christ loves them. God's given you the engine and the fuel. Get out of park or reverse and put it into drive and go.

2 Corinthians 5:11-18
11Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. 12For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart. 13For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause. 14For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. 16Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; (KJV)
