Watch & Pray (Luke 21:34-36)

Matthew AdamsMatthew Adams, March 23, 2014
Part of the Miscellaneous series, preached at a Sunday Evening service

There are many things that distract you from doing Gods work. There have been many things that. God has given to us that we forget that God gave them originally. God must be your foundation in life, anything else as a foundation will collapse. There is pleasure in the things that the devil gives, but only for a season. At the end of the pleasures is death. If the things that you choose in your life begin to take over worshipping God, they need to go. Anything that doesn't stand WITH God is against it and should be told as so. God doesn't send people to hell, we have free will to decide whether we will follow God therefore making a choice to be saved or not. When God comes back you will not have time to make things right. The results of the war have already been decided. Jesus won the victory when He went and took the keys to hell. It is know up to you to decide which team you want to be on, the winning team or the losing team. A "good person" will split hell wide open. Only being saved will grant you into heaven's gates. We must watch and be prepared for the second coming of Christ. Fifty-five million people were killed due to abortion but only 6 million were killed during the holocaust and everyone thinks that Hitler was such a bad person.

Luke 21:34-36

34And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
