The Joy of The Lord is Strength (Nehemiah 8:5-10, Psalm 51:10-12, Luke 15:7, John 15:11, John 16:24, Romans 15:13, Luke 6:23, Luke 10:20, Psalm 16:11, Philippians 4:4)Tommy Boring, October 13, 2013

Does the Word of God affect you? Do you mostly live in the dumps being depressed. There will be times that you will be challenged in regards to your happiness. Worldly things will quickly lead to unhappiness. Repentance brings joy, (Luke 15:7). Obedience brings joy (John 15:11). If you are not bearing fruit, then you've not been saved. Joy is just a blink away. Faith brings joy (John16:24). In order to ask God for something we must have faith. A grafted limb doesn't have to struggle to produce fruit, it's just a limb. The limb relies on the trunk, the source to provide its strength. Just as with us, if we would just let Jesus take control and do what He asks, we would have Joy. If you are still having a depressed, unjoyful life, just think of your heavenly home (Luke 6:23). If your name has been written in the Lambs Book of Life, then you've got Hope that will bring you Joy (Luke 10:20). If you stay in His presence or are simply in His presence, Joy will also be there (Psalm 16:11).

5And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people; (for he was above all the people;) and when he opened it, all the people stood up: 6And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with lifting up their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground. 7Also Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the law: and the people stood in their place. 8So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. 9And Nehemiah, which is the Tirshatha, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law. 10Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength. (KJV)
10Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 11Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. 12Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. (KJV)
7I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. (KJV)

20Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. (KJV)
