The Advocate (1 John 2:1-2)

Tommy BoringTommy Boring, February 20, 2013
Part of the Miscellaneous series, preached at a Wednesday service

We are all sinners, when we sin we break the law of the Ten Commandments. We will all be judged for the sins that we commit. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse for innocents. Whether you have a written bible or not, God put the law in your heart. You from right and wrong. If you do sin you have someone to plea on your behalf. If you do not have Christ in your life, then you do NOT have an advocate to plea your case before God. Jesus is the only one that can stand in the gap because He is righteous. If you are lost, then God only sees you. If you are saved, then God sees His Son and His Son pleads His case and that you are His.

1 John 2:1-2

1My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. (KJV)
