Tommy BoringTommy Boring, December 2, 2012
Part of the Miscellaneous series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

We live like we know as if tomorrow will be there. No one knows when death will come. We all will die and not live. If their is something in your life that needs to be fixed, do it now. Do you have anything in your life that holds you back? Do you expect to die or be incapacitated tomorrow? No one really wants to die, but if its your time to go, you're gone. We all get caught up in our small little selves. When was the last time you wept before God?

2 Kings 20:1-5

1In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live. 2Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying, 3I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. 4And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying, 5Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD. (KJV)

Matthew 16:26

26For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (KJV)

Luke 12:39

39And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. (KJV)
